Customer Reviews of Zorro
Very Disappointing... While growing up, I watched the movie at least eight times and still remember most of the scenes and dialogs. I was very excited when I found a copy of Zorro (with Alain Delon) on the Amazon and bought it right away. To much of my disappointment, the movie was cut mercilessly, and as one of the reviewers correctly noticed, to a person who had never seen it before, it would be very difficult to follow the plot. It's confusing. But it's confusing ONLY BECAUSE someone took the liberty to 'EDIT' it.
With Alain Delon, you can't go wrong!
"Zorro", the 1975 version starring Alain Delon, isn't a heavy-weight movie. But it features four action set-pieces that bring out all the excitement and romance and charm that the new movie doesn't quite catch. Alain Delon as Zorro is perfect - perfectly handsome, with a great sense of comic timing, and handles a sword with the best. I saw this movie when I was 12 when it was shown on TV on New Years Eve. It made a lasting impression. From the catchy tune "Zorro's Back" to the fantastic 20 minute sword fight at the end of the movie (when Zorro fights the bad guy, of course!) it's a great hour and a half. Highly recommended. Be sure to buy a copy of a *good* print that hasn't been cut.
very bad
This is a terribly abridged and deformed version of the original movie. Due to stupid approach of the DVD issuer, the conflict between violent/non-violent justice remains unrevield. Also some plotlines are lost.
If you really love the movie of your childhood , you vill by cruelly disappointed.
