Besides being comfortable for its young passengers, a stroller needs to be convenient and portable for the big people on the pushing end. Parents will likely appreciate the ease of use that the Zippy provides. It can be collapsed and folded with one hand, leaving Mom or Dad free to carry groceries or children with the other. Thoughtfully, the folded stroller can also stand on its own, making it easier to throw it in the back of the car without needing to bend over. It features a spacious basket underneath, and the seat features shoulder and lap belts to keep riders securely fastened. The upholstery is a simple, two-tone grey with red trim (no puppies or teddy bears to embarrass Dad on excursions) and is fairly stain-resistant, so food and other messes can be easily spot cleaned. --Alice Merritt

Customer Reviews of Zippy Stroller - Charcoal Grey with Red & Black Accents

BEST STROLLER EVER - especially for petite moms
I have the 2003 model (looks exactly like the 2004) in the "Cookie" color (red, blue and tan - since discontinued) with a built-in rain cover. Oh Lawd, I can't say enough about how incredible this stroller is. After test driving, test folding, test carrying EVERY SINGLE brand and model of full feature stroller on our market (including one priced in the high $300s), the Zippy was the hands down winner. Even the more expensive brands with more bells and whistles couldn't compare.

What makes this stroller worth every dime is both the ease of folding and its steerability. I'm 5'1 and 95 pounds soaking wet, and I could park, lock and fold the Zippy in 10 seconds flat. I can throw it open in less time than that with ONE hand and one step on the back bar. It steers around a dime which is so awesome for all the mall-walking and park speed-strolling I've been doing to drop the baby weight. And it is sturdy! There's not one part of this stroller that feels cheap. Other things that I like: 1) I could use it with my newborn because it is designed to cradle Graco, Evenflo and Peg Perego carseats perfectly in the seat, 2) it stands up on its own when folded (no more awkward bending to get it in my car or to keep it out of the way when we come home, 3) the peek-a-boo window in the hood, 4) huge hood that really keeps out the sun at any angle, 5) very sturdy, shock absorbing wheels, 6) fully reclining seat and leg rest goes up and down...buy the matching boot and it's like a bassinet, and 7) the fact that all the fabric is washable.

To the person who said you need to take the hood off to fold it, that is absolutely incorrect, you must have installed the hood wrong. Reread the instructions, because at every store where I tested the Zippy, the hood never had to be removed.

If there are any suggestions for improvement, I wish the handlebars were one whole adjustable bar like on the Peg Perego Venezia or Bertini M5 Shuttle instead of the bicycle handles because, at my height, I would like to have a lower grip, while my much taller husband would like a higher grip. Also, I wish the basket was bigger or deeper but I got the matching Zippy diaper bag that attaches to the handle bar so it doesn't really matter that much.

My best baby buy.

Better than getting universal carseat carrier & Peg stroller
The Peg Perego Aria had very high rating by Consumer Reports but its compatible Primo Viaggio carseat had many complaints (too narrow, more expensive than the highly rated Graco SnugRide, etc.). So, to overcome this issue, I was all set to buy the Snap 'N Go Universal Carseat Carrier to use with the Graco SnugRide Carseat and then once the baby outgrows these two, buy the Aria. However, I then discovered the Inglesina Zippy and it has far better customer feedbacks than the Aria - it is compatible with the Graco carseat and its fabric (more plush) and construction (bigger hood, better wheels, and true one-hand fold) are superior to the Aria! So, for about the same amount of money that you would spend on a Graco carseat, universal carrier, and the Peg Aria, you will be happier with the Zippy and a Graco carseat.

The only downside to the Zippy is that it can only hold 35 lb. vs. Peg's 45 lb. weight limit. However, this is not really an issue for me since I plan to transition over to a much lighter weight Mclaren Triumph.
