LCD panels are free from two concerns that plague traditional projection sets: phosphor burn-in, which imprints a "ghost" image on your screen after holding a static image too long; and convergence errors (discrepancies in beam alignment), which require a service technician to realign the projection picture tubes. Replacement TV the same as the first After three repairs on my first TV, Zenith agreed to replace several months later and many phone calls later. The new TV is now having the same problems as the first with addition of a nice blue spot on the screen. This is the worst product that I've ever purchased. Too bad its also one of the most expensive. Over the year that I've owned this product. I've been able to watch the TV less than 40% of the time.
zenith /lg/ who is it?
I purchased this tv. I had it less than a year and the power supply board went out. Warranty fixed it. Before the year was up on the warranty I tried to purchase a extended warranty. Zenith denied it 2 days late. Six weeks later the same power supply board went out. Zenith paid for the board but I had to pay labor. Eight weeks later the blue streaks started. At first not much, then all over the TV. $3,000.00 for a piece of junk.
Never ever purchase this TV or deal with Zenith
D52WLCD worked well for 12 months. Then 3 year bulb burned out. Then blue spots started growing across screen. Zenith will not repair or refund, after 12 months its your problem. It cost more to fix than to buy comparable new one. Parts take 3-4 months to obtain and are not Zenith any longer. See other reviews to recognize this is a common problem.
