Customer Reviews of Young Frankenstein: Dialogue & Music From Original Soundtrack
DVD changed everything Back in '74 this record was five star. Nowadays it's merely a four star 'cause you can own the movie...complete...w/editorial comments by Mel himself (Gene sadly lacking). I just recently picked up the Violin (after a couple'a [culpa?] decades of guitar...you learn by playing, and TWINLKE, TWINKLE LITTLE STAR only works for novas') and decided that basic scales and the YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN theme wre a great way to whet my itchy little fingers. I'm old enough to have this album on vinyl, and wary enough to know that it will probabably be available again on disc...but if you can't hold your breath (and I recomend that you don't...screws up concentration while you're trying to play...) and have $45 to use in any way you see fit... I totally reccomend this disc. PEACE, LOVE and HIPINESS! P.
BRILLIANT!
This brilliant selection brings the movie to life in one's mind. My faves include "Train Ride To Transylvania" with that immortal line "Pardon me boy, is this the Transylvania station?", Puttin' On The Ritz, Frau Blucher, He Was My... BOYFRIEND and of course Wedding Night (Oh Sweet Mystery of Life and Love/At last I've found you ...). A very funny soundtrack to the funniest movie of all time.
da bomb!
It's perfect, all of my favorite music and favorite quotes from the movie
