Customer Reviews of Xbox 360 Live 12 Month Gold Card
It's worth it There isn't much I have to say about the subscription card, except that it was definitely worth my money. Despite that I had a difficult time opening the plastic seal, it was simple to redeem my code by typing 25 characters with my xbox controller. The only annoying part about typing it is if I typed in the wrong number, I kept thinking the red button would delete the wrong number instead of exiting the screen and start all over...
Not one problem listed in earlier reviews
I bought one of these cards because they were $10 off, even though the reviews made me think twice. I figured, even if it was later than my 1 free month, I could still buy one month online (or *gasp* go a bit without xbox live gold) and I'd just be careful while scratching to uncover the code.

>I received my card today, 10 days after ordering it. As a bonus, it actually gets me *13* months (Though this isn't advertised so I'm making no promises to the rest of you), it expires in 2 years, and I couldn't scratch off the code without sandpaper.
<
>The only thing I don't know is if I can enter the code now, or wait until after my free month's up. But that's what they invented google for, so I'm off.
Typical Microsoft Support
Yes, typical Microsoft support, as it is on everything they do. I had the same problem, where the activation code wore off when I scratched off the rubber coating. I tried to get assistance from XBOX as well as Microsoft, and several employees admitted this is a big problem that is happening a lot, but Microsoft says 'too bad' - if you can't read the code then there is no way to verify it, so bend over and take it. I am filing a grievance with my state's Attorney General, and I advise others to do the same. Most states Attorney Generals have websites where such complaints can be filed. Let's use Microsoft's internet against them and see how they like it.
