Customer Reviews of Xbox 360 8’ VGA HD AV Cable
Cheap HD For Your 360 If you have an LCD monitor for your PC, but don't have an HDTV, this is a fantastic way to experience your 360 in HD. Connect the VGA to your LCD, and the audio to whatever you please, set the resolution in the 360 dashboard, and enjoy! I had absolutely no problems in getting this up and running, and the only complaint I have about it is that the audio cables spawn at the VGA plug instead of at the 360 end of the cable, so you may need to buy some RCA extensions.
Item is completely misleading.
If you need optical audio output for surround sound dont buy this cable. The item is designed to look like it has this option, but only has a square piece of plastic glued to the connector.
Amazon has posted the wrong reviews for this product.
This product is the Pelican LiveWire VGA cable for the Xbox 360, NOT an ethernet cable and NOT the OTHER cable that's misleadingly labeled as an HDMI cable.

>This is just this, a VGA HDAV (High-Def Audio/Video) cable. I don't know why, but Amazon does this thing where it posts reviews of similar products in other products pages (for example, posting the same reviews for hard/softcover books). Somehow, the 360 Ethernet Cable and "HDMI" cable have been marked as just different versions of this cable, which is in NO WAY similar to those other two different products.

>Now, for this cable itself: Yes, it is a VGA cable. Yes, it lets you hook up your Xbox 360 to a computer monitor for true HD video. Yes, it is a third-party product, so the quality is "lower." However, I find that the quality difference between this cable and the Microsoft cable is negligible (I own both). Side-by-side, this cable doesn't give as true of a "black" as the Microsoft version, but I can ONLY tell side-by-side, or on a projector. For the money you save, this cable is well-worth the buy.
