well i still havn't finished the game and i'm Sure you will Have Fun Playing This Game.
3 out of 5 is plenty good......
3 out of five means you get a game that is good wholesome fun with enough phat little touches it keeps pulling you back.
its a bit scary to start with as your thrown in at the deep end having woken from a mad experiment being carried out on our star of the peice James Howlet / Logan / Wolverine. its pretty much action from the start, the entire game balances all out action with patient stealth sections. this is a solid game, the control mechanism is simple enough, visuals are as expected for a next gen game. add to this a very well used lisence incorperating voice talents from the movie ( although Logan is voiced by mark 'luke skywalker' hamill, and he is a good choice) with the right talent from marvel making it feel as true to the comics as it has to be.
Then theres the phat stuff. Logan can use his mutant senses with the pull of a trigger, this allows you to see further, smell people, see warm footprints and most coolly stealth moves!
i dont want to spoil it for you so i'll finish with a simple......its wolverine jim, and thankfully just how we'd like it. HAVE FUN.
oh... nearly forgot xbox extra, listen to costom soudtracks while playing the entire game.....
Some major flaws even Logan can't heal...
First of all, let it be known I am a big Wolverine fan (ask me to show you my Wolverine tattoo sometime...), so I may be too critical.
Things I was pleased about -- Mark Hamill (also known as Luke Skywalker, or the voice of The Joker in the Batman animated series)performs the voice of Wolverine...Very good! Patrick Stewart also handles the voice of Professor X. In general, the voice-overs of this game are fantastic, as is the storyline. However this is the best part of the game, and the rest really needs work.
I felt like I was playing a beta version of this game. As others have stated, there is a tremendous amount of clipping. Clipping is when people and objects suddenly fall through walls, get stuck, or inexplicably die. Also, the levels are VERY long, and there is no way to save during a level. So plan on spending 30 minutes navigating a level, and if you die, you are gonna need 30 minutes all over again...
The game is still very fun though -- I wish that Activision had taken more time to polish things up.
I hope there is a sequel planned, so they can address the issues and improve the Wolverine experience...
