This video has 2 separate animal adventure episodes from "The Wonderful World of Disney" television show that played on Sunday nights from 1953 to 1983. The first is "Ida, the Offbeat Eagle", originally aired in 1965, twice and again in '73. An employee of the Idaho Department of Agriculture (IDA) tags a young eagle as part of a wildlife survey. The bird has a few life-threatening adventures and even manages a ride on the Snake River rapids, before coming to live with a hermit in his cabin. Eventually she starts a family of her own but remains friends with the hermit. <

> This next episode first aired in 1974. "The Wahoo Bobcat" is a fun as the title sounds. It is a story about a 14 year old bobcat named The Tiger, who has returned to a Florida swamp he left after a flood 7 years ago. Back then there was a human hunter who was the top bobcat hunter in the region, but now he has retired and thinking about how short life is. He doesn't hunt anymore, and when he sees the old Tiger returm=n, old and grey, he sees a kindred spirit,... another old-timer. After some hilarious antics with the Bobcat nearly destroying the hunters home, they make out to be friends, at least as much as a wild animal can be social. The hunter feeds the bocat daily so he won't get in trouble with the other hunters in the area. But a case of mistaken identity with a new bobcat causes the hunt for old Tiger to begin. Can his friend save his skin before the dogs and guns get him? I highly recommend this video and others in the series. <
