A lot of them around the house beats one large ionizer!
I have had a lot of air ionizers (ozone generators) over the years, and these are great. These are so inexpensive, once I was sure one worked, I bought 6 for the house and scattered them around. It works much better than having one giant ionizer. <

>Ionizers are best primarily at removing odors, and they will cause some dust to fall out of the air, but they do not trap it. Hepa filters are better at trapping & removing dust but do little for odors, unless they have a carbon filter which must be replaced often. <

>Pluses: The windchaser includes extra grid, so they should be able to last about 4 years total for me. (From past experience, emitters seem to corrode after 2 years.) Strong output for size. Silent, no fan, only takes 3 watts. It is easy to slide out the emitter for cleaning. <

>Minuses: Unit is large, blocks both outlets. Amber LED nightlight is not very bright compared to white LED nightlights.

Remarkable!
This little unit took care of the dog odors on our back sun porch and another works quite well near the cat box. There is a little ozone smell, but not bothersome and much better than the alternative dog and cat smells. I may want to order a couple more for the bathrooms.

Great for small areas
I have used 2 of these for a couple of years now; one in the bathroom and one next to the litter box. I have 2 cats, and before I had one of these next to the litter box I had a terrible time getting rid of the smell. Since i've used one of these next to it I have had no smell at all, even next to the litter box. It has also helped with the litter dust when refilling the litter box. I have a small 2 bedroom condo, and before that an even smaller 1 bedroom apartment, and this was a must in keeping both places from smelling like cat box. I liked it so well I got one for my bathroom as well. I always use a night light in the bathroom anyway for late night trips in there, and the purifier keeps it fresh in there. I noticed a couple of reviews complaining about the light and the fact that you can't turn it off. Well, what do you expect when the name of the product says "with light" in it! LOL <

>For the size and price don't expect it to clean a large room or completely get rid of allergens or dust. That's unrealistic. If used in the bathroom it will not immediately get rid of "smells", but it will definately speed up the process. I'm considering getting one in my kitchen as well to help with odors in there as I cook with a lot of garlic and other smelly things. In my opinion, this is a definate necessity with anyone with a litterbox.
