Customer Reviews of Where Mankind Fails
Like Manowar & Hammerfall? Try Steel Attack! Not just a clone, but a full step in Power Metal. Heavy guitars, Thick bass lines & tremendous double bass outline this great band from Sweden. Very catchy lyrics from a very good singer.
If you love/understand power metal this is a must have!!!
Before I started thoroughly enjoying Mid career Helloween, the most underated Band in the U.S., but at the same time, and I cannot stress this enough! The most Influental band in the U.K, yes even more influental than Iron Maiden.Hey if you don't believe me check out the tribute Album's!On those Album's you'll find the crem de la crem of all power metal including this band,( STEEL ATTACK ) doing a song I myself can't stand Dr.Stein.I find it so silly, unlike Starlight, and March of time to name just a couple of their better song's.But you have to take Heavy Metal a little less serious when it comes to Power Metal. The music itself is more about fun song's rather than death doom and despair, while at the same time just like Helloween and Steel Attack maintaining an EXTREMELY HIGH QUALITY IN MUSICAL EXCELLENCE,NOT TO MENTION SPEED. That the Majority of U.S. band's don't have, and probably will never have agian! In this age of Rap metal, and the totally untrue saying that simpler's better,I personally think band's say that so they can get away with being a band that never show's how good they can be,if infact their any good to begin with, that in which I strongly doubt. Now to get back to this band Steel Attack,I Absolutely love'em,they are indeed what TRUE POWER SPEED METAL'S all about. With song's like Dragon Skull, and Where Mankind fail's like most Power Metal it's all focused highly on Fantasy. The only slight problem with this album is that his leric's might through you for a loop, especially if you'r not already into power metal. With leric's like (Deep in there what will be found, the smell is a stench never felt by man.)You see that leric alone can make you think what were those guy's thinking.I'll tell you what they were probably thinking. They were probably thinking with leric's this outlandish poeple will either hate us for having it, or love the complete, and utter originality of it all, and that's what I like about this group...Amongst many other thing's...So Buy this Album...I also strongly recommend Mid Career Helloween, and Dark Moor, they also have an amazing vocalist, not Michael Kiske, but still exceptional, there's also Nocturnal Rites old and new,Falconer,Rhapsody,Sonata Arctica,Wizard,Nevermore, and many more including Blind Gaurdian which is very exceptional Metal very Tolkienesk at time's may the god's bless'um.I mean they're not alway's very power metal, but that's alright Because I don't discriminate. It's all cut from the same cloth to me...The sooner people learn that the sooner we can quit are little petty differences when it comes to Fantasy Metal...Because that's basically what it all is,atleast the Majority of it anyway...
THIS IS HOW POWER METAL SHOULD BE PLAYED - NO [] BALLADS!
If you want a tight, concise power metal with great riffs and dual guitar soloing attacks this is a must have. I'm tired to listen to stratovarius, hammerfall and other bands who always include some ballads on their playlist, the best here is that there is NO BALLADS!! just powerful non-stop medium and fast speed songs! The vocal just stands to hold the base lines, but is not really bad... forget the other reviewers who said so, just get it!!!
