Customer Reviews of WWE - Royal Rumble, The Complete Anthology
Please Don't Listen to the Stupid Negative Reviews I have no problems with the box ripping apart, I think these people that are having issues with ir probably are wreckless with it and are just plain idiots. As for the material, ITS GREAT if you like classic WWF you will not be dissapointed. Please dont listen to the 12 year olds who only want to see people jumping off ladders and going thru tables killing themselves in the process. AMAZING DVD COLLECTION!!!!!
NOT WORTH THE MONEY
Not worth the money unless you enjoy watching boring Royal Rumbles from the past with WWF bleeped out. Also be careful if you plan on opening the box more than a few times its liable to rip apart at the middle seam (very cheaply made) Basically no more than a pile of junk.
If You Like The WrestleMania Anthology...You'll Love This One
The Royal Rumble is probably the second most anticipated event of the year due to the fact that this is the main PPV that starts the setup of storylines & begins the Road To WrestleMania. This anthology is really the perfect counterpiece to the WrestleMania anthology.

<
>1991 - Hogan won this Royal Rumble. Sgt. Slaughter won the WWF Title from Ultimate Warrior...with help from Randy Savage. The Dusty/Dustin vs. Dibiase & Virgil match was just background to the long awaited Virgil turn against Dibiase. One of the best overall Rumble cards in history.

>1992 - Ric Flair won this one & the WWF Title as this was one of the most entertaining Rumbles down to Bobby Heenan reacting to Flair's every move on commentary. The only memorable undercard match was Roddy Piper winning the Intercontinental Title from The Mountie.

<
>1993 - Yokozuna won with the stupid ending of Randy Savage pinning him (in a battle royal?) but Yoko kicked out so strongly that Savage went over the top. WWF Champion Bret Hart fought Razor Ramon in a good match along with the long awaited Shawn Michaels vs. Marty Jannetty match.

>1995 - Shawn Michaels became the first person to enter #1 & win. WWF Champion Diesel vs. Bret Hart saw Bret use a more aggressive style that anyone has seen from him leading to a great match that gets overshadowed by their Survivor Series match later in the year. Jeff Jarrett won the Intercontinental title against Razor Ramon and Lawerence Taylor was confronted by Bam Bam Bigelow.

>1996 - Shawn Michaels second Rumble win featured Vader's debuted & dominating the match before his confrontation with Yokozuna and Jake "The Snake" Lawler returning. Goldust won the Intercontinental Title from Razor Ramon and the WWF Title match between Bret Hart & Undertaker was something to check out.

>1997 - Shawn Michaels won back the WWF Title in his homestate from Sid. Austin would win the Rumble in a classic heel way putting over his character and also putting over Bret's current "you screwed me" character. The Rumble match itself also had various highlights such as Terry Funk's appearence, and Stone Cold's dominace, and Jerry Lawler setting a Rumble record. Other things to look out for on the undercard are the Goldust/HHH match and the Undertaker/Vader match.

<
>1998 - The Rumble match was very entertaining with Mick Foley enterting under all three personas with Stone Cold winning in the end. HBK/Undertaker faced off in a casket match & delievered with Kane lighting the casket on fire set the stage for their WrestleMania match. Mike Tyson does make an appearence here as well.

<
>1999 - The Rumble itself had Vince & Austin's first fight which started & ended the Rumble. The real highlight of this Rumble was the Rock vs. Mankind "I Quit" match as Foley took the most vicious chairshots. The rest of the card was very average to boring to just plain sad (Sable's strap match against Luna).

<
>2000 - Tazz debuted, Dudleyz vs. Hardyz in the first tables match, and the Cactus Jack vs. HHH street fight were at this event. The Rumble itself had some funny moments such as Too Cool & Rikishi dancing during the middle of the match and Funaki being eliminated more times in a Rumble match than anyone else in history with The Rock winning at the end.

<
>2001 - Stone Cold won this Rumble that featured a Drew Carey appearence, and Kane's dominate record of 11 men eliminated. The catfight between Stephanie McMahon & Trish Stratus, a classic ladder match between Jericho & Benoit, and a match between Dudleys vs. Edge & Christian are worth seeing.

<
>2003 - WWE Champion Kurt Angle & Chris Benoit wrestled in a classic match. The Rumble match had good moments like Jeff Hardy finally getting his hands on Matt Hardy & the storyline between Jericho & HBK. Lesnar would win it after having a good match with Big Show earlier.

<
>2004 - Benoit drew #1 & won as other delevopments included Mick Foley's return, the first signs of the Undertaker returning to his "deadman" character, and the interaction between Brock & Goldberg. The other standout matches were HBK vs. HHH and Eddie Guerrero vs. Chavo Guerrero.
<
>
<
>2005 - This included the HBK/Angle confrontation, Benoit & Holly having a chopping contest on Daniel Puder's chest, and the finish that results in Vince McMahon injuring his quad. HHH vs. Randy Orton, JBL vs. Show vs. Angle, Edge vs. HBK, and Undertaker vs. Heidenrich in a casket match are all worth checking out.

<
>2006 - Rey Mysterio ended up winning the Rumble at the end. The only good match was the Cena vs. Edge match that was really a fun match to watch.
<
>
<
>2007 - MNM vs. Hardyz was a good performance as was the Cena/Umaga "Last Man Standing" match. The Rumble match itself was fun to watch, as it was your average Rumble with the last 10 mins. really being something you wouldn't want to miss with Undertaker, HBK, and Rated RKO.
