Customer Reviews of VisionTek Xtasy MX 420 PCI 64 MB VGA NVIDIA GeForce4 Graphics Card
if you know what you're doing.... I purchased the VisionTek Xtasy Geforce4 420 MX 64mb card about a year ago. It works fine with my golf game MS Links LS 2003. That's a lot rendering between screens. I thought I would see what was new on the market but relatively inexpensive. I bought the PNY GeForce FX 5200 with dual GPU's 128mb. Admittedly, the dual GPU's did make the rendering and all video displays load and respond a "tad" faster. The Xtasy Geforce4 420 MX has only one GPU but it works just fine in comparison to the newer Vid-card. I am bringing the FX 5200 back to Staples today. I think I got one heck of a good deal with the Xtasy Geforce4 420 MX. If you want to get the best performance out of your Xtasy Geforce4 420 Vid-card, download the driver verison 5.2.1.6 from the www.nvidia.com site. Once you choose your type of card and operating system, click the link on the left of the page that says "archived". Find the driver released in October 2003 with the version numbers above. You'll have a ball!

Great Value
Great performance for its price. One of the best choices out there for PC's without an AGP slot.
Worked Fine for 3 Months
I have a nearly three year old Compaq which does not have any AGP ports, so I needed a PCI card to play the new Warcraft & Age of Mythology games I purchased in the fall. I wasn't looking for the greatest card, just one that would allow me to play the new games until the day (if there ever is one) that I can afford to get a new PC with better everything.
Well, the card seemed to work fine.... for just over three months until it blipped out on me and started showing a multicolored screen. I took it into work and tried it on some other PC's... it was gone.
I won't buy it again, but thank goodness I purchased it at Wal-Mart.
