Customer Reviews of Venezia Bk Sable
worth every penny I was in Babies R Us for hours trying to decide on which stroller. Finally, I just decided to splurge and it was a great decision. All three of us just love this stroller. The carriage feature is wonderful, not only to be able to see my son, but to allow him more comfort for napping on our long outtings. The fabric is made to keep him cool, but looks great too. The basket is huge. The boot cover makes even the brisk days comfy for our morning walks. Surprisingly for a regular stroller (not a jogger) the Venezia handles the bumps pretty well, but is great in malls too. The moveable handle helps so much as I am 5'2" and my husband is 6'. But by far the best thing about this stroller is its weight! For being as big as it is, it is incredibly light. I have no problems lifting it, even with my son in my arms. All of the American stollers that are a comparable size weight 20+ pounds. Simple folding design too, which means you don't have to wrestle it closed (no shaking it open or closed). In the beginning the handling was a little tight, but loosened up quickly with use. If you are waffling between the Pliko and the Venezia-spend the extra bucks, you'll be happy you did!
Great Improvements, Worth every penny!!
I just got this stroller yesterday and I love it!!! I had originally registered for the 2003 model that Babies-R-Us carried, but was horrified when it was discontinued!! Thankfully PegPerego came out with a new 2004 model. (imagine my relief!) If you were familiar at all with the older model you know that there were a few places that could use some improvement; the basket was quite small and there wasn't any place for an adult drink. Well....PegPerego must have noticed, because the Veniza SA has a HUGE basket and an adult drink holder. (Still...it could use an adult tray, but I'm assuming that because of the reversible handle that's not possible.) Now, looking at the photos you may be wondering if you can still access the basket when the seat is fully reclined. I was really worried about this, but took my chances and ordered it anyway. Well, I can tell you that you can rest assured. The back bar of the basket folds down, with spring action, so you can still accesss the basket while your little one is sound asleep. I took my 3 week old son for a walk yesterday and he absolutley loved it. I layed a white blanket in the seat for him to lay on and the contrast between the black fabric and white blanket kept him entranced the whole walk. Also, the fabric is sooo luxurious. Very soft and smooth, unlike other stroller fabrics that are usually stiff and hard. Now it is a bit large, I have a 2001 Honda Civic sedan and it takes up most if the trunk. I would recomend trying it out in your car before buying it. Other than that, this is definatley the cadillac of strollers and worth every penny!
A lot of features are not always a good thing
I was very disapointed with this stroller. The only feature that I do like is the reversible handle. However when you reverse the handle you have to adjust the wheels to the new direction. Also the seat does not come to a fully upright position, and now that my son is a toddler there is this space between his butt and the seat. The support is not there. The swivel wheels are another problem. You always have to be aware of the direction, you can't just fluidly move left, right or reverse without making sure the wheels are facing the correct direction. The other feature I don't like is the harness system.
Once your child no longer needs the 5 point system and just want to use the seat belt you can't remove the harness part. So, it just stays behind the child. And if he/she leans back they get
impressions left on thier head and harness poking in the back.
Also, if you use the stroller when you go shopping be prepared to hold your packages, because the basket is to small!!
We purchased this stroller based on reviews from other parents. My husband loves all the features eventhough its constant work to operate. I'm sure it's a man thing. I feel its not practical for a Mom on the go.
