NOT what I thought they would be. Be aware that I was not using this pad in a crib. I believe if I were to use it in a crib the same problems would arise. <

These are so much more convenient than traditional waterproof crib mattress pads: they don't have to be tucked in, they cover the whole mattress just as well, they absorb just as much moisture, they take up less space in the washing machine, and in our house they double as couch protectors when my two sons nap there in the afternoons. Definitely a smart purchase.
multiple use item-great for middle of night crib changes!
Bought two 2-packs of these. Kept 2 for crib, and cut 2 others as: diaper changing-pad cover/bassinet sheet liner/bouncy seat/car seat, etc. For mattresses, I placed a pad down, put on a sheet, then placed another pad down and another sheet. In middle of night when sheet/pad were soiled, I just pulled top layers off and had the next layers all ready to go, and washed the soiled items during daylight hours. I'm sure there are other products out there that are better, but these work great for the price and for what I was expecting!
