Customer Reviews of Up in Fire
Ye Of Little Faith Dis is for the rasta man up top, who have no fath and seem to have lost the identity of RASTA. Dread, I not being too presumtious, but check it. What year do we live in? Have you taken a walk around the hood lately, for those living in the states, have you seen how the batty man dem start to come out in them numbers. they start to make themsleves "accepted" by Isociety? I & I caan handle them ting dey. Them start to make them own "Gay Day", when I see dem ting dey, it does make me so rahtid, is like i does be tinking to throw a bomb in dem ras-claat. Now when de people start seeing them ting deh, for a split second they go think that faggot are a part of I society, which is not true, fire burn batty f*cka and p*ssy Sucka. Now imagine a Bobo like Sizzla abroad and seeing how them faggot-tens flexin, dat must make a man rahtid, now to combat the gays new found bravery and aggressiveness, he have to attack them the same way them attack us. His music must be aggressive as their behavior, he have to get that thought out of our head, the thought of gays being apart of I society, even though it is for a second. He has to make us hold our self and bun out the chi chi, he has to use any means necessary to make us snap out of the accepting. So he get graphic in his music so our meditation will be off the chi chi and on the oman, remember dread, manhood make for womanhood, not a next manhood, so he have to keep us locked in the rightuos thinking and within our irites we will now bun dem out more than ever and counter attack their bravery and now bun dem out even more, on a mental level, seen?
You overs dread, our you still accepting the batty livity in I society? "Burn dem up like paper" Dem is part of Babylon, and it f*cked up system dread.
Now imagine how ah man like sizzla does be mad as hell, when he seeing what going on in de world, and how Babylon TRYING to lead us astray. Remeber start, you listen to music and watch de world the evil and see how de music does reflect de evil and good to. So dead I hope you can get my heights.

PREACHING ABOUT PUNANEE??? FIYA BURN!!!
I must say I am an avid Sizzla fan and have most of his cd's as well as being present during one of his exciting shows. I am a Nyahbinghi Rastafarian and as late have been questioning some of Sizzla's recent lyrics regarding pum-pum, punannee and the basic treatment of women. Firstly, this cd is rare and hard to find (I had to get it on ebay) and what a disapointment when I heard track 4: "Oh Yes Baby" where in he states "girl I'm gonna give you love that make U feel right, girl I'm gonna f*ck U so hard tonight" as well as "girl your punannee is so hot and so tight"...??? Then a few songs later he addresses women as empresses and princesses...which is it? Is this Bobo Ashanti Rasta teachings? In the linear notes of the cd Sizzla is regarded as quote: "He is a messenger for the 21st century, a deeply spiritual man who uses his voice as an instrument." and "For Sizzla, music is a vehicle for Selassie's message." Well I do not agree for His Imperial Majesty Emperor Selassie whould never advocate such speak! I am truly dissapointed especially after looking forward to this rare find. I cannot believe this is the same artist who wrote "Thank U Mamma" or the whole "Da Real Thing" album for that fact. This cd should be torched and go "Up in Fire"!!!

This apparently ultra hard to find, downright mysterious piece was to be released originally the same day as recent Sizzla gem of an album Da Real Thing, then delayed 2 weeks, then delayed indefinitely, only to be released early in 2003 without an official release date by 2b1 records worldwide.
The thing that i most want to say about this record is that, having heard a TON of Sizzla's music, including cutouts and studio and out freestyle's this album sounds like an entire freestyle album. I have heard some of tunes before, but they do appear to be redone (Judgment). The best tune is far and away past Sizzla hit Real, given the live treatment on Up In Fire, i also like Out Di Way, Black Woman Showoff and Can't Touch Mi Turf. The entire album has more of a dancehall feel, so if your first experience of Sizzla Kalonji was the Da Real Thing Album, you might not want to make your second one Up In Fire (try Kalonji or Freedom Cry for something more along those lines). Overall, i do actually think this one is a freestyle album for the most part and it's absolutely nowhere near the man's best, it could be called Not Da Real Thing lol. Of course if you're a fan of Sizzla's especially his more dancehall tunes, then pick this one up, not too dissimilar to other recent release Light of My World by Sizzla, who can't seem to make enough albums in a year.
P.S. Also like Light of My World, there's a very interesting article on the artist in the liner notes.
