Customer Reviews of Unleashed
Toby Keith, Smooth and Unrelenting 'Unleashed', Toby Keith's 2002 release, is another sure-fire hit for him. This 12-track album is full of great songs, several of which have already become hit singles for Toby. Right off the bat, he comes out swinging with 'Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue', also known as 'The Angry American' in his father's memory. It reflects many American's emotions following the September 11th tragedy. Many people say he is using that disaster as a medium to make more money; however, he is just expressing his sentiments toward those responsible for the attacks. It is a wonderful song, which also pays tribute to his late father, who served proudly in the United States Army. Another hit song follows, 'Who's Your Daddy?'. This song shows Toby's comedic side, and the music video include's Toby's long-time friend...parody legend Cledus T. Judd.
We hear depressing news everyday, such as murders, robberies, rapes, suicide bombers, et cetera. 'Beer For My Horses' addresses this issue, describing how life used to be in the Wild West, when the bad guys got what was coming to them. Willie Nelson teams up with Toby in this great song, adding a nice touch to the song. Keeping on the topic of bad news, Toby suggests turning off the t.v. and taking your special someone in your arms in 'Rock You Baby'. He projects the need to make every moment count when you're with the ones you love.
With 'Unleashed', Toby Keith releases another excellent album, full of hit songs. You won't be disappointed with this album, which is definately a must-have for any country music fan.
Is Toby being true?
Well, the answer to that is (whoops, probably can't say "hell")--yeah! I do not compare Toby to any other country singer, he's an original and I love his songs like "Who's your Daddy" for making me laugh as much as relating to past hit "Look at me now". I'd imagine alot of us can relate to those lyrics, and, yes, it's pretty sweet when "they" see how you turned out. Toby, stay true to you, your music is refreshing not re-done--you're a kick! And hey, my horses enjoy a beer sometimes. Ive liked your music since "Should have been a cowboy"Your patriotism is exactly how everyone felt before they remembered to be politicly correct.I still like that song. The videos are a hoot that are out for "unleashed" Well, "Who's your daddy" is, thats for sure and for certain.(what female would'nt have wanted to be in that video?!)Toby Keith has worked hard and has'nt "sold out" that makes his music his,(not his "daddys") that makes his music his---and to some of us, ours too.
