POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
I do not recommend this item to anyone. I initially purchased it for the safety features and overall appearance. When I received it the button on the sunshade popped off the first time I attached it. I contacted the company who sent me another one that did not match the fabric or color of my new seat. I called back and was informed that that was the only replacement shade they had. Frustrated with this carseat, my husband called back and spoke to someone higher up who assured him they would try to locate a matching shade and send it asap, but it NEVER came. In addition, unless you have a large SUV or van the base probably will not fit. It did not fit in our car at all and it is quite heavy. I returned it and got a Graco which we are so happy with. The base fits, it exceeds all safety requirements, and is much lighter. :)

Horrible!
This car seat is horrible to get out of the base! I just spent 10 minutes in a blizzard trying to get my premie out of the base!!! I had to take her out of the seat and leave the seat in the car. This is unacceptable! For the price I am appalled. I CAN NOT count on this seat being reliable. How am I supposed to function now?

There are better car seats for tall babies.
We got this car seat after we were in a car accident and had to replace our old one. We already had the stroller(which we love) and thought that the matching seat would be good. Boy were we wrong! It's suppose to accomodate a child up to 29 inches, but I'm not sure how. The height adjusters are all wrong. My son is 3 months and 27 inches, and he barely fits in it. It's also very hard to strap him in it. No matter how much I tug and pull at the straps, it never seems to fit him correctly. The strap between his legs doesn't adjust to height, and it's especially difficult to fasten. We previously owned the Eddie Bauer infant car seat, and I really loved it. As for size, yes it's big, but they all are. We have a compact car and it fits snug in the back seat. If you're looking for a car seat that accomodates a larger infant, buy the Eddie Bauer. Forget the Combi. The only good thing about it is the padding. All in all, strap your child in it at the store before buying.
