The next step up
When we had a third baby, things were getting pretty tight in the back seat! Three toddler car seats made it much too crowded. Plus, our other kids, ages 4 and 5, needed something to accomodate their growing bodies. They are small for their age, though, and most booster seats are for kids 40-100 pounds. The Graco turbo booster seat is fabulous! Accomodates 30-100 pound (3-10 year old) child, up to 57" tall. There are also cup holders that fold out on either side of the seat (the kids seem most fascinated with this!), and the headrest has slots on either side for proper positioning of the shoulder/lap belt. BE SURE you know which booster you're getting- Graco also makes it's original Turbo booster, which looks exactly the same, except without the headrest. These are really for taller kids who don't need special accessories to adjust the lap belt. These seats are great for big kid safety, without making them feel like babies. Reasonably priced, once you check out the competition.

We love this booster seat
I have a three year old son and a five year old daughter. I consider myself a carseat fanatic. I've always researched, researched, researched before I bought a car seat and have always gone with the best I could find. This seat got a great rating from Consumer Reports. And Graco has always been tops on my list.

I just bought two TurboBooster seats. This seat is lightweight. It fits both kids. My old car seats had the belt guide that is attached to the fabric. And the seatbelts got hung up on the guides. The TurboBooster has belt guides that are attached to the molded plastic not the fabric and that lets the seatbelt slide freely. And I love the extra padding on the head rest. The headrest is built like a bike helmet.

The cup holders don't do much to hold cups around corners so make sure your drinks are covered. I didn't buy it for the cup holders, so I don't care about them.

I took my five year old shopping for this seat. I had pretty much decided that this one was what I wanted. She sat in about five different seats. Once she hit this one, she sealed the deal. This was the most comfortable. I asked her to sit in another and she did but she was sure the TurboBooster was IT! When my son saw the seat, he went crazy. He thinks this is the coolest seat he's ever seen.
