Customer Reviews of Truly
There's Beauty and Trust.... This is one of Delerium's most diverse singles to date with 6 great versions of the song.
The Wise Buddah Mixes possess the semi-classic dance formula, very similar to a Ultimix or a Todd Terry Mix-- plus the song focuses more on the vocals other than the trance area. Great Mix
Infusion Mix, is by far the best mix here. I think it samples Alex Neri's mix of Faithless/Dido's ''One Step Too Far'' featuring the brooding meditation of the original mix. Moreover-- a vast improvement over Neri's progressive and underground sound. It's also got a great trance feeling to it!. Excellent Mix.
Signum Club Mix, This is a illustrious trance mix that sounds almost identical to Madonna's ''What It Feels Like For A Girl - (Above & Beyond Mix)''-- and to add, there are moments on this track when you could swear it was remixed by The Chemical Brothers. Overall it's a really great mix!.
Brother Brown's Mixes, are the ones I disliked the most, by merit they have a great beat, but both mixes suffer from the vocal shortages.
Overall it's a great Maxi-Single for lovers of trance/house, plus the production values are very sophisticated and high.
Enjoy!
More Great Euphoric Trance From Canada's "Delerium"!
I was browsing in a local music store and happened to come across this latest cd single from Delerium called "Truly". I quickly purchased it and gave it a listen once I got home. What I heard was another beautiful euphoric trance song with beautiful female vocals courtsey of Nerina Pallot. This single has a number of superb remixes ranging from trance to electro. If you are into trance then there's the "Signum Remix" (8:04) which is a high energy "hands in the air" trancer with mesmerizing synthesizers, fast galloping dance beat and syrupy sweet female vocals. There's also the "Wise Buddah Mix" (7:23) which is slower beats per minutes wise and borders on the electro side. Layers of synthesizers ride along with Nerina's vocals which at some point become vocodorized. The "Infusion Remix" (9:50) is what I call deep electro and begins with alot of percussion, dark sounding synthesizers which envelop the vocals. The "Brother Brown Remix" (9:30) is trance with progressive sounding synthesizers. This remix is similar to what Paul Oakenfold might use in one of his many mixed compilations. Trance with a progressive edge. There's also the "Brother Brown Dub" (9:30) which has minimal vocals but the music is exactly the same as the vocal version for the most part. Last is the "Wise Buddah Radio Edit" (3:46) which is a short version of the lengthier "Wise Buddah Remix" made for dance radio play. If you enjoyed Delerium's past hits "Afterall", "Underwater", "Innocente" and "Silence" then this cd single is a must have.
