Customer Reviews of Trois (R-Rated Edition)
not great but far from terrible fans of adrian lyne's erotic thrillers or dramas might find themselves whispering "deja vu" in each other's ears while watching this indie film. trois simply isn't a bad movie but doesn't appear to bring anything new to the table of indie films and/ or psychological thrillers with soft erotic overtones. as far as the plot goes, the film manages to offer us a little dose of suspense here or there and doesn't completely give away it's surprises but unfortunately this cannot redeem the film entirely. the acting here is decent enough but gretchen palmer gives the most promising performance by far and i think she has potential to do some great acting in the near future. the erotic scenes are suggestive enough but never to the level of a soft core flick so i fail to see why the film manages to obtain an nc-17 rating. furthermore, there is very little nudity aside from viewing the lead actor's rear end in the earlier segments of the film. there is also an alternate ending here on dvd which i think they should've kept in place as it does build a bit more suspense than the original ending. for a more sensual and intriguing thriller however, you may wish to never talk to strangers which showcases talent from rebecca demornay and antonio banderas. plan on renting this though if the reviews here peak some interest before throwing down hard earned money on the dvd.
oh boy
This has to be one of the worst films that I have ever seen. It was just really bad, bad acting, plot, lighting setting.. I don't want to get into further detail.
Passable erotic thriller!
"CSI" player Gary Dourdan stars as a lawyer whose idea to "spice up" his marriage with another female bedmate turns into a nightmare of epic proportions. Made on a shoestring budget (the boom mike makes an un-credited appearance at least twice), the film benefits from a swiftly moving story, credible acting, and Atlanta locations.
Fans of "Unfaithful", "Fatal Attraction", and 60's Ross Hunter films will find something to love (or loathe) about this flick.
