1. The changing station is awesome and so handy.

2. Unlike what other people have wrote, putting this thing up and breaking it down is easy. The directions were pretty clear. The unit comes with wheels which make it easy to travel with.

Now the bad and the reason I think we made a mistake in chosing this model.

1. The bassinet feature on top is too small. Yes your child will fit perfectly in it when you first bring he/she home. Unfortunately the baby will quickly outgrow it in a month. Most other playards have their bassinet feature run under the changing station and is as long as the playard. The Baby Trend bassinet attaches to the top and is next to the changing station and is as wide as the playard.

So beware, don't buy a playard based mainly on the pattern.

Investigated it, like it!
We first looked at this crib because we had chosen the high chair that matches it for our registry. After reading the reviews here, we decided we'd better take a look at it in person first. We started out trying to take it down without reading the instructions and did have some trouble. However, reading and following the instructions is the way to go. After doing this and discovering "the trick", it took only 5 minutes to completely break the crib down and prepare it for packing and another 5 to set it back up. In total we spent about 25 minutes looking the product over. Since we are being surprised about the baby's gender, we especially like the material design of this crib--for boy or girl, a nice green with teddy bears. It seems the majority of products favor boyish looks. We also like that the changing area has four closed in sides and is separated from the bassinet. Also that the changing area and basinet are two pieces, not one, making them easier to handle, use, and store. After investigating the crib in person, we added it to our registry. We've given the crib four stars because we have not actually been able to use it with our baby yet. (We appreciate the suggestion regarding purchasing another mattress.)

Great product
This is a great play yard. I love the bassinet feature and the flip away changing table. I read the instructions and had no problem assembling it, but the bottom did keep popping up as other posters have stated. I called Baby Trend and they said that it is part of the design. Even with the bottom locked, the mattress has to be inserted AND FULLY VELCROWED at all 6 locations and for it to stay down. Its to make sure the mattress is inserted properly. If you just lay it in, the center pops up. If you are using the bassinet feature, the center will be popped up (since it uses the same matress) but I banged it around and it is very secure, even though it doesn't look like it would be with the center popped up.
The only thing I don't like; it is hard to get in that little bag.
