I just read the first issue of Tracks and it is just what the music magazine industry needed! I am always wondering where to find out about a great CD to buy that might not be on the pop radio station and now I have an alternative to picking at random in a record store. It is a guide that renews itself every issue, just as I am ready to buy more CDs. And the writing is right on target. I know it is difficult to start a magazine, but in this case the end product looks great and hopefully will be around a long time.

Foundation stone for Music Passion
This magazine contains the promise to restore music as a foundation stone of the culture as it once was when we all grew up with music at the center of our lives. Recording companies will have to smarten up and provide value and quality music to adult consumers. But Alan Light and his crew will to their part by pointing us in the direction of great music when it gets made. Hopefully that will contribute to a restoration of courage within the industry so that music makers can join pure money makers as the sculptors of the record companies of the future.

The first issue of Tracks is very strong. While Sting is not my favorite the point toward My Morning Jacket suggests that we can learn a lot from this new tastemaking journal. Many great stories to follow.

it's alright
it covers a few more topics than other Music magazines out here easily but it's also middle of the road to me on a certain level as well. I can't fully detail&say where it will end up but now it's just aight at best.
