I received this seat as a shower gift -- along with another similar product that had a soft cloth seat -- having never researched or considered them as necessities. After using them both, however, I have recommended this one to every new mom I know as a baby gear must-have. It is simple to use and fits on almost any table (all that I've tried.) It's great for dinner at grandma's or dinner out. At a restaurant, it fits on any booth or over any chair, and it always puts baby at the right height. (Some restaurants have tall tables with stools which don't work at all with a high chair or for-your-use high chairs that put baby at chin level with the table.) It's yours, so you know where it's been and how well it's been cleaned. Best of all, it has an unmentioned feature that beats the soft-seated products hands down: It works free-standing! If you're picnicing (as when we have lunch with Daddy at the work site) or are at another "tableless" gathering (i.e. your friend's babyshower), this critter will pop up and give baby a place to sit for his meal on the ground or on any other large, stable surface (like a stack of plywood :) ) It's absolutely wonderful. I have found no complaints with it but for its portability. Yes, it collapses to a nice size and it isn't too heavy, but the other product came with a nifty tote bag (which I swiped before I gave the soft-seat version to Grandma for her car.) My suggestion? Find someone who sews and make a SIMPLE nylon bag with a shoulder strap. With that, this seat is perfect, and you will be amazed at how often you use it!

Best Kept Secret
This seat is the best! I can't believe no one ever told me about it before. Since finding it, my 11 month old daughter and 19 month old nephew have both used this seat and love it. They like being included at the dining table instead of sitting back from it in their high chairs. Since it's lightweight and compact, it's so much more convenient than lugging around a high chair. In fact, we left the high chair at home and just took this on a recent vacation. I'd suggest this to anyone!

We have used this seat for our twin sons since they were 1 1/2 They are now almost 3 and still in it. It holds them both well, and it is very convenient. Takes up less space then 2 reg. highchairs for sure. I would recommend this seat to everyone. We are expecting again in aug. and we will definitly use it again.
