All of the old tricks remain, but the game features hundreds of new additions. Of course, with all of these new tricks to master, there are also more detailed accidents: scraped knees, broken boards, and wall and (ouch!) pole collisions.

Customer Reviews of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2
its a great game, but kinda bad in the sound department i have basically played every version of tony hawk 2 and theyre all fun. this versions no different. it has all the elements that make the other ones fun and great. the only problem with this version is that theres only 6 songs out of all of them that were on the psx or dreamcast version. theyre all the songs that i hated, like the chuck d one and dub pistols. theyre also edited, limiting only some instruments and the chorus. that really blows. other than that tho, this game is terrific. but only buy it if youre ready to listen to your own music. i turn the music off and listen to some alien ant farm and blink 182.
Great Game!
Tony Hawk's Proskater 2 is a pretty good game to play. Unlike tony hawks proskater 1, you can build you'r own skatepark with jumps, ramps and rails to grind on. There are afew new characters to choose from. You can even create you'r own skater which is pretty funny because you can make them have the weirdest clothes on and make them what ever size you want. But you have to have a controller pack to save a game or you have to start from the beginning and play all over again. The different levels are cool. You still have to find the secret tapes and earn points for tricks to advance to the next level, and there are some new things you have to find that weren't in #1. But overall this is a good game to get.
The Best Extreme Sports Game... wait, theres an N64 version?
Just read the title, this is one heck of a game. I've already mastered this game on hte Dreamcast and Game boy Advance but this N64 version was 9 bucks at Wal Mart so I just bought it for the cheap price even though I already owned it on 2 systems. Anyway this is a skateboarding game and you can play as 12 different pros icluding Kareem Cambell, Rune Glifberg, Bucky Lasek and of course Tony Hawk. The gameplay is pretty hard at first but you'll get used to it in no time and start doing 10+ trick combos. The replay value is just infinete you'll never get sick of playing it because of all the different tricks you can pull off in the amazing levels. The levels are fairly huge and filled with ramps and half pipes nad rails to grind. The graphics in this version are a little disapointing mainly because of the cartiridge format the N64 uses. There's mass pop up and fog but it's not too distracting from the gameplay. Theres is also slowdown and choppyness when things get extreme and there are a few glitches but once you get into the gameplay it's hardly noticable. The controls are also very good c left does the flip tricks, c up does the grinding on rails, c right does grab tricks and c down does the ollies (jumps). Very easy to control but the the N64 buttons you gotta press down hard unlike the Dreamcast controller. Some of the other features in the game include create a skater and create a park. Create a skater is okay but I dont think it's worth it, the create a skater in THPS 3 is amazing though theres a bigger variety (and you can make female skaters!). The create a park feature is what i love to use me and my friend just mess with that thing all day and yoiu can choose hundreds of ramps and rails and taxis... it's great. The sound effects in the game are great you can here the board roll down the pavement and the metal grinding against the board. Now theres the music we have to talk about. There are only 6 soundtracks on the N64 because of the cartiridge format and some of the songs are reduced, they are also not a very good quality sounding so I suggest you to turn the music off and turn on the stereo and listen to something else. The music soundtracks arent bad though it's just that the N64 makes it sound like crap, the Dreamcast version has the complte tracks in great quality and the songs are pretty good especially "No Cigar". The multiplayer in this is also great you can do the normal trick attack where the winner is the person with the most points made from tricks. There's Horse which is where you and the other player take turns doing tricks and you have to score higher than each others scores so you dont spell out horse. Then theres Graffiti which is my favorite where you have to skate on many objects as possible and the person who skated on the most objects when the time is up wins. Overall this game is the best extreme sports game ever created with THPS4 in second place. If you have a Dreamcast or PSone get it for those systems instead but N64 owners must own this.
