Customer Reviews of Todd McFarlane's Spawn 3 - The Ultimate Battle (Animated Series)
Great deal for spawn fans! I wouldn't reccomend you buy this pack if you haven't seen the spawn series before. But otherwise its a great deal!
Spawn 1: This is a bit slow in its plot. But very aggressive in its grasp of reality. A fan of hardcore anime or spawn would like this very much. The first tape mostly tells the story of how Spawn came to be and what his mission is, as he sees it. In comparison to the 2nd and 3rd tapes it is a bit slow, but still entertaining a good start to an excellent series.
Spawn 2: Darker than the first. More action, but a little creepier. One thing about this series is that it messes with your head in confusing you about whats right and wrong. This tape has a lot of that in it.
Spawn 3: If you liked the first two you should love this. And even if you didn't like those 2 you still might like this one very much. The other two seem to drag on, and on, and on. But they're still very entertaining if you watch it in segments. However this one has a LOT more action. My favorite part is when Spawn fights the vampire girl. Thats the closest thing in america to anime. I think the next season, hopefully another will be made, should have a lot more of that fighting in it. But still keep the dark and twisting plot.
Excellent, but probabely not for hardcore christians.
To me, this video was made to make up for that ridiculous live-action movie. What makes the whole series so tight is that it gets better and better as it progresses. It is definately one of the most realistic horror, animated videos I've ever seen. I mean the characters act like real people and I alsolike the background music because it goes real well with the rest of the video. I remember a comment that Todd McFarlane made. It was that he'd rather have no cartoon at all than have one of those Saturday morning cartoons which are stereotypically made for children. I understand exactly howhe felt. I loved the X-Men but I hated when a character like Wolverine couldn't even use his claws to the fullest effect because it was a children's show. The only thing I don't really like about "Spawn" is that they made it as if the war between Heaven and Hell was merely a myth and to make it worse they made it where God would actually recruit that fiendish vampire-girl to destroy the Hell-Spawn(Like God's that desperate). I know I'm not a saint but, man, that seems a little bit too far. Overall, this is an excellent video and I can't wait for the fourth video of the series. Any comic book fan would definately have to like this. (In my opinion "Spawn" is not for kids because it has content for mature audiance AND I think it would be too boring to them anyway)
Now this is Spawn
I love the animated version, not that i'm a fan of the comic but when i saw the animated show at HBO which was actually a pilot episode, featured crazy charecters, a dark detective, and now one of my all time favorites, Spawn, it just got me buzzin and hungry for more of this new out of this world dark animation. This is a dark, very dark and mature tv show and provides sarcastic humor, chillers, suspense, thriller, drama and action. If you liked Outlaw Star or The Big O, then make no exeption to get this DVD Special Collectiors edition of Spawn, because by the end of the night, Spawn will be what you regurarly watch.
