Customer Reviews of Titanic - Adventure Out of Time
Simply Brilliant As a child, I was introduced to the Titanic's story by my grandparents. My grandmother showed me this game. I spent countless hours in front of that computer, trying to solve the mysteries that the many rooms of the Titanic held. It was simply astounding. <

>I went back to have another go, several months ago, and I am still rather amazed by the things I saw. The graphics, for their time, were spectacular (at least in my opinion). Honestly, they're more tolerable than some of our modern-day graphics. The game play wasn't terribly complicated. It was easy to move about, simply by using the arrow keys. Navigating the screen was a simple matter of pointing and clicking. Holding conversations with the other passengers was intriguing. Sometimes, the things they said would help you progress in the game. Other times, it would just be fascinating information relevant to the time period. <

>I'll admit, the game can get rather frustrating. To this day, I have not beaten it (though I have come close a few times!). It's helpful to write down information that is given to you as you play. Otherwise, there is the chance that you'll forget it, since the game won't remember everything for you. And the game did freeze up a lot. This was part of the reason for my never completing it. I'd spend so much time trying to get the game unfrozen, that I'd run out of patience to continue playing the actual game. <

>All in all though, it really is a splendid game, which provides hours and hours of entertainment, for those with just a little bit of patience.
Great Game worth your money
I thought this game was fantastic! It is very addicting. I first played it when it first came out in 1998 at my friend's house. Then I bought it for myself about three years later. I have beat the game with an unhappy ending, so I still feel I didn't do one of the tasks right. The Hints and Solutions book is a wonderful asset to this game. If I didn't have that book, I think I would have been completely lost on what I was supposed to do on the game. This is a fun game for history buffs or fans of Titanic.
Keeps you playing till the end.
The other reviews covered the plot of the game very well, so I will not repeat what was already said.

>I got this game back in 1998 when I was still living in Russia. With the help of subtitles (that are an option for the game) and a dictionary, my sister, her friends and I spent every evening for 6 months trying to complete the game. I did not have a cheat guide that I could refer to in order to get past the points where I got stuck, so I just had to keep on playing. I loved the 1st person point of view, all the puzzles, ability to interact with so many characters and do such things as fencing, fist-fighting, sending telegrams, even trying to sail the ship! There are three alternate endings, only one of them is a happy one. So, basically, you can finish the game but not accomplish your mission. Even after I was done with the game I had a feeling that I could've prevented the ship from sinking - it seems that the game gives you everything you would need except for the chance to steer the ship off of the dangerous route right before the catastrophe.

>I re-play this game every couple of years and every time I still get stuck at a point that I cannot remember the solutions for.
