nice work I keep listening to this album, and it sounds better and better. Unusual arrangements including subtle harmonies and occasional violin, banjo, and accordian make for catchy tunes and haunting anthems. And this is done without the self-conscious cuteness of many indie rock bands. I saw the band live in Chicago and they're refreshingly free of pretension. Nice work, gents.

"Punk rock for adults"...perhaps. Equal parts roots rock and hardcore howl-the `Missiles' offer a solid first launch with this one. Incorporating some of the best aspects of Midwestern music, this band walks the line between folk sentimentality and punk rock bluster. Attempts to describe this band with a mathematical formula of other bands would not do them justice. Among the many highlights on this album are the epic tidal wave of "Ocean", the sincere "Point Of View", and the bracingly brief title track "Time Well Wasted". The same title track is an unlikely closing note for this album, a fitting closer, which leaves the door wide open on the way out.
