Customer Reviews of Time Out Soft Seat
Here's why I don't like it I understand completly that it's not supposed to be a punishment time out chair. But on the side it says "uh oh" and "time out" and assorted things like that. What is that even supposed to mean if it's just a place to sit? Why have a time out chair that says all that stuff just to be a toy? This toy was a gift, and my 6 year old twins are learning to read, and began calling the chair the time out chair. Now, my 3-year-old thinks she should be going to play on it instead of to the real time out chair. It's a comfy chair and nice and stuff, but don't get it if your older kids can read!
This is indeed for "time out"
The stool even says "oops, uh-oh, tick-tock" on it as if the child is waiting, to be alowed to get off, so that discredits the last review. And to the first reviewer, if your daughter wants to play on it, dont blame the seat, she would most likely to that with any seat. WE have two of these for our 3 year old b/g twins, they have been acting up and we thought we should put our foot down and have an official "time-out" chair. Yes its cute, but my children dont really play with it, we keep it down stairs in the dinning room, and they know what it is. Thats the one chair that they get in trouble in for playing with. I think anychair could work for the time-out chair ONLY, but this was just cute. If you buy this chair, or anychair for time out you should never use it for anything else, that just sends your toddler mixed messages. When my kids do something bad, I warn them that if they do that again they go to time out, and if they do, I follow through, they know where it is and know WHAT it is, and they listen. They havent been acting up too much anymore, they know they will be punished. Now as for the actual seat, its a bean bag, and its a cylinder shape. Its cute and has nice patterns on it, but it is all related to a "time-out" seat. It spots clean nicely and is very nice. Its big enough for my small 3 year olds to sit on, and it holds up to abuse as you may imagine. It withstands kicks, puches, jumping, pounding and it cleans those tear marks off. I recomend this for anyone who wants a little "cute" time out chair, although I wouldnt particualary recomend it for like a stool, just because of the illustrations on it.
It's not that kind of time out
I believe when they say time out they mean "time out", slow down, sit down, take a break. Not that the child is in "time out" for something wrong that they did.

> When I got this I thought what probably most mom's looking at this did, (that it was for when the kid was in trouble). I said, no way, but then I came online and read the description.
