Customer Reviews of Three Dollar Bill, Y'All (Authentic Guitar-Tab)
Rap/metal at its best Before Limp Bizkit became generic rap/metal sellouts they released this album, there debut. This will always remain one of the only credible albums in the genre and even know i've heard it many times it is still a worthy part of my CD collection. The production is not up to the same standard as later releases but Fred's songwriting is more intelligent and meaningful and his singing has greater range and is far less annoying. The guitars have a heavy but raw, jagged sound, the bass is quite good, drummer John Otto shines throughout the album, particularly with the jazzy percussion on album highlight Stuck and DJ Lethal, though i feel he is under used by LB, produces some fine scratches.
The best tracks are Stuck, Pollution, Counterfeit, Stalemate and Clunk (with its wicked bassline)but Leech (demo),sour, Nobody Loves me and the hit single Faith are all worth a listen. Get this album as well as both of (Hed)pe's CD's and Snot.
Best Limp Bizkit Disc!
Intro - 5/10 - I don't usually give intros this high a mark, but this one is cool.
Pollution - 10/10 - This is a classic song with great guitaring.
Counterfeit - 7/10 - The first single, an alright song.
Stuck - 9/10 - Good calm rapping by Fred for 5 minutes.
Nobody Love's Me - 10/10 - A good track with good lyrics.
Sour - 7/10 - More rapping by Fred.
Stalemate - 6/10 - I like the segments at the end but the beginning isn't anything special.
Clunk - 8/10 - Good song, good beat.
Faith - 5/10 - Worst on the album, they copied this of George Michael.
Stink Finger - 7/10 - Read Stalemate.
Indigo Flow - 8/10 - Basically a track which thanks everyone who supported them.
Leech (demo) - 10/10 - A classic 2 minutes of madness.
Everything - 5/10 - Too slow.
Overall it deserves a 9/10. The best Limp Bizkit CD, the only one I occasionally listen to. Get it if your after Limp Bizkit.
The only Good bizkit
Before Fred Durst managed to sell out and drag the reputation of Nu Metal with him, Limp Bizkit released this album. While the album isn't terrible like Chocolate Starfish, New Old Songs and Results May Very; 3 Dolor bill isn't that great. The songs Counterfiet and Pollution are actually pretty good, unfortunately Durst turned out to be both of these. Stuck is a song that is fun, but once again nothing special. The rest of the songs fall along these lines except Indigo Flow (it was recorded at Indigo Ranch), all it is Fred thanking everyone who helped get them this far, but its quite pointless. Everything is a song that is over 15 minutes long, is very quiet/boring and you can't make out what is being said. The shotgun effect found on Leech is actually quite funny, that demo is actually pretty cool. But once again I say that this is limp bizkit's only good album. Everything after here was a downward Spiral. This is the only Limp Bizkit Album I ever bought. If you are interesting in what the "good Bizkit" sounded like, just download it. Limp Bizkit will be remembered as Korn's Curse. Korn is one of the only good Nu-metal bands out there. This album is sub par to everything Korn has done.
