Customer Reviews of Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends: Thomas Breaks the Rules
I can't find a good reason to take this one of the market When the took this one and Tenders & Turntables and Better Late than Never off the market they really took a piece of Thomas history away. I think they should keep all of the Thomas videos out but they are a decreasing number left. Even a lot of the George Carlin are gone. What makes me furious is that they redid the Ringo Starr narrations with George Carlin ones. And in the newer dvds in The Hall of Fame where it shows what tapes you can find the engines starring performances, They put 10 Years of Thomas or Thomas and his Friends Help Out. These are both mixes of other tapes and they completly forget about this tape and even newer ones too.
Anyway this tape rocked and it brought some new characters into the story. Toby came to the Island of Sodor when Thomas got in trouble with a police man. It also brought Duck who came to take over for Percy when the work became too hard for him. Edward helps out a lot in this one and he proves too James how useful he can be. James got in trouble again in James in a Mess when Toby had to help him out. James really should learn to behave but he can be useful too. It also introduces Harold and he learns that engines can be useful too. The episodes on this tape are great and I would recommend trying to find a old copy of this one.
Thomas Breaks the Rules & Other Thomas Stories
This is a great video! One of the oldest too. The third video in the series.Storyteller is Ringo Starr.Although, they don't sell this video anymore, along with Tenders and turntables(video 3), and Better late than never(video 5)also told by Ringo Starr. The stories are:
THOMAS BREAKS THE RULES=Thomas gets in trouble with the police for not having cow catchers or side plates. Sir Toppham Hatt can't argue with the police, so he brings in Toby the Tram Engine
A COW ON THE LINE=Edward is pulling freight cars when some cows break through his train.Gordon and Henry think its funny, until they run into a cow themselves, in which they cannot shoo, so they feel rather silly.
OLD IRON=James thinks Edward is slow, until James is the runaway train, edward catches up to him, stopping him.
DOUBLE TROUBLE=Thomas and Percy both end up having accidents with coal, and end up blaming eachother for their accidents, until they make up and become friends again.
JAMES IN A MESS=James is mean to Toby, and says that he never has accidents, until he has one of his own, and Toby and Percy come to his rescue.
DUCK TAKES CHARGE=Percy can't handle all of his work alone so Duck comes in to help him.Gordon, James and Henry make fun of him and order him about ,until Duck and Percy take a stand.
PERCY PROVES A POINT=There is a new helicopter on the Island of Sodor named Harold, who thinks railways are slow and out of date, until Percy races him and beats him.
Well I hope that you enjoyed reading my review of Thomas Breaks the Rules!
About THOMAS BREAKS THE RULES
In THOMAS BREAKS THE RULES, watch how Thomas doesn't have cowcatchers and sideplates. The police thinks every engine should have them. Finally, Sir Topham Hatt gives up, and decides that Thomas should have those things. But Thomas cries, "Everyone will laugh, sir. They'll say I look like a TRAM." Soon, Sir Topham Hatt needs a TRAM engine to help, so he gets help from Toby. Toby has cowcatchers and sideplates. In A COW ON THE LINE, watch how some cows break Edward's train. Gordon and Henry think they can handle it, but when a cow is on the line, it wouldn't shoo. Do you know why? Because she lost her calf. When her calf is retures, Gordon and Henry feel silly. "Well, well, well," chuckles Edward. "Two big engines afriad of a cow." Gordon says that they were not afraid, because they didn't want the cow to get hurt. Meet Harold the Helicopter in PERCY PROVES A POINT, and Duck the Great Western Engine in DUCK TAKES CHARGE. You'll be surprised of how the old iron catches James in OLD IRON. See how Thomas & Percy have trouble in coal in DOUBLE TROUBLE, and how James tells Toby that he never sees his paint dirty...until he runs into two car wagons in JAMES IN A MESS.
