Customer Reviews of Thomas the Tank Engine:Steamies Vs.
pretty good, could have been better This Thomas video was alright. The stories were good, but they changed the music and they changed the theme song to some stupid song rather than the song we all know. They also have these dumb activites as a tranition instead of the engines and their names. The storyteller was good though. I hope that Thomas & the Jet Engine will be good.
Could hum the new theme all day^^
I just love the changes they made on this vid.(Although, once again, the UK got 2 more epis than us!>_<)They make the series so fresh.HIT picked up from Gullanes horrible mistakes and turned TTTE around. So i recommend this DVD 4:
1.New music
2.Micheal Brandons narration
3.The longer epis(and the epis themselves)
So enjoy this great DVD!^________^
Decent, but Different
Don't listen to those who moan over minor touches like the theme songs and who say that HIT is ruining the show. This may not be as good as the classics, but it is good especially compared to episodes like Rusty and the Boulder, where a boulder with a mind of its own chases around the little engines. The new theme is because the old composers left, and as a result HIT probobly lost their rights to it. The new one isn't bad, I don't know why some people act like they'd rather have their legs amputated without anesthesia then put up with it. There are only four episodes, but they are longer, so the length of the episodes (not the entire video) is actually about 30 seconds more. Michael Brandon is a good narrator with creative character voices, especially considering he just took over the narration.
The Heavy Word: Not as Good as Better Late than Never or James Goes Buzz Buzz or other older releases, but it is a rather decent release and better than some other recent ones. Expect to see things gradually improve in the future. :)
