Not good for infants..BUT great for Mom & Dad
I should have read reviews before I told friends and family I wanted this thermometer. I quickly learned that it was not going to fit in my newborn son's ear. I went out and bought a digital thermometer to use rectally. My pediatrician had said that would be OK because I was nervous using a glass mercury thermometer with a squirmy baby.BUT I do find this thermometer very accurate and quick for myself and hubby.I'm sure we will use it once the baby gets older for him too!

Great when a little older
This is a great way to tell if your child infact does have a fever. However, because infants ear canal is so small getting an accurate reading is hard. But it's fast for a crying baby!

Best one I've bought
This thermometer is GREAT! It is very fast and accurate. The main reason I went with it was the comfort tip. The one I was using was hurting my son's ear. He doesn't run now! You get a read out in one second, which is good for a 2 year old that won't wait for you do do anything. It was a little expensive (...) but that is the only complaint I have. (...)
