Customer Reviews of The Wedding Planner (2001 Film)
sweet! I love this CD! I love this movie! You may call me old-fashioned, but this is the kind of music I listen to. I liked JLo's "My Love Don't Cost A Thing," although it was so different from the other songs. I've always loved Jennifer Lopez in movies and Matthew McConaughy was great! These are the songs (and the movie) that won't get old or boring quickly!
Pretty good...but missing something here....
"Wait a minute? Isn't this a Jennifer Lopez film? Wouldn't she have any songs on this soundtrack?" That was what I was thinking when I listened to this soundtrack. I haven't seen the movie, but I've seen the previews on TV and on TV during the previews they played Jennifer Lopez's "Love Don't Cost A Thing", so I thought that song would be on this soundtrack...or at least one song by Jennifer Lopez. But there's not one track by Jennifer Lopez listed on this soundtrack! I was a little disappointed about that! (I absolutely adore "Love Don't Cost A Thing...it's a really great song.) Not only was I a little disappointed, but I was also a little shocked and surprised that she didn't have one of her songs on this soundtrack. But above all that, it's a pretty good soundtrack. Not one of the best, of course (from what it sounded like was that the soundtrack was headed toward a younger audience with songs by Nobody's Angel and Jessica Riddle, as two examples). So older audiences may not care much for this soundtrack but it's still pretty good and should be listened to especially if you've seen the film. I gave this soundtrack four stars because there were no Jennifer Lopez songs and I haven't seen the movie yet. Good buy - not a waste of money if you like these artists.
Who cares about the movie, its got The Dan Band!
Dan Finnerty covers "Groovy Kind of Love" on this soundtrack, which I believe to be the only recorded song from "The Dan Band", the wedding band you may remember from the movie Old School, who bastardize Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and Styx's "Lady", while making them completely awesome at the same time.
This alone might make it worth buying. Used. Cheap.
