Customer Reviews of The New York Farewell Recital, 1976
Tebaldi's Farewell is GREAT! This is the ONLY recording in which Renata Tebaldi seems to be having a GRAND time. Just listen to the first track, her voice is BETTER than the '55 version. The ambiance of this recording, with piano and Tebaldi's voice ringing through Carnegie Hall has NEVER been captured better!! The accompaniment is fantastic, along with her voice, which is MUCH better than La Scala just two years earlier. She is having a ball, plus also includes her SECOND song in English, "Danny Boy". She is in total control, with the audience completely behind her. A MUST HAVE!!
