Customer Reviews of The Lost World: Jurassic Park
Jason takes Manhatten but with a T-Rex.................... Steven, you never direct your sequels, why now? Jaws 2 could have used you more then this. Just a film with great special effects and a Mary Lou Retton wanna-be thrown in the middle. Trash, all I can say. The first was groundbreaking, just like Jaws, but this is huried and dumb, o-yeah, you did direct Temple of Doom, that sucked worse. Stick to your heart tugging, sappy, realistic stories of actual events. Shindler's rocked, Ryan was a bit to fantasy for me, exspecially the ending, Spielberg to save the day. E.T. is even glad he is home now and didn't have to view this torture of a film.
What a Letdown!
I love Jeff Goldblum, but he didn't carry this film. The film was ruined for me the second Julane Moore (yuck!) and the ridiculous, lame token Black daughter of Goldblum showed up no doubt to satisfy nauseating political correctness in Hollywood all at the expense of this bust of a film. It's obviously too much to ask for a white protagonist to actually have a white daughter. What a concept. It just added to the disbelief of the characters (stay Goldblum), the storyline, and the ultimate letdown of this much anticipated sequel. Jurassic Park III wasn't much better.
JUST AS GOOD AS THE FIRST
This sequel would probably have to be as awesome as the first. Sam Neil and Laura Dern aren't in this one but Goldblum comes back. This time the DNA enhanced dinos are on a new island now and Goldblum's girlfriend Sara and an exbidition head out to do research. Then Goldblum finds out and rushes all the way to the island. Mean while a hunter and a rich dude also head out capture the dinos and use them for a new theme park. But after capturing a baby T-Rex, Goldblum and Sara are caught on the scene and all trouble breaks loose. This time there are some new dinos in town inluding a clan of raptors (one good scene where Goldblum has a battle with them,) a male and female T-Rex (and a baby) and a new kind called comthagonsus or somethin'( bite sized dinos that hide in small places and feed on lurking prey). Great action with some more gore make fill it in with more suspense
