Great Exercise for Seniors This exercise DVD is a very sensible exercise set for seniors. It works on increasing the range of motion of every joint in the body and keeping the ligaments, tendons and connective tissue flexible. The exercises are not strenuous but, like Yoga, Tai-chi and Pilates, emphasize maintaining the youthful quality of the body, allowing it to function well throughout your life. The exercises are all done standing, so the senior would have to be able to stand. The entire set of exercises is 20 minutes, but as the DVD says, you can do any number of the exercises and do not have to do the entire set. There are a lot of chapters so you can advance to any area of the program. Much of the DVD is detailed instructions for each movement and the rest is the exercise set given straight through. This is an excellent set of exercises for any senior capable of standing. Artistic Video's "Chair Exercises for Seniors" would be good for those seniors who cannot stand.
