Customer Reviews of The Godfather Collection (Widescreen Edition)
Are you kidding me? I can't believe the nerve of people writing reviews on the GOD FATHER!!! They must have been living under a rock for the past 30 years.....
Oh, where does the time go???
Have you ever had that moment where you're drivin' down a familiar stretch of road, doing the posted speed limit, but to you it feels like you're going a fair sight faster than you actually are? Isn't that weird? Well, that's sorta what I experience when I watch the first two "Godfather" films. At first, I'm a bit daunted by each flick's 3 hour run time. But then I actually watch the thing, and what seems like only 45 minutes later, the climactic hit-scene montage occurs, the door shuts on Diane Keaton, and the closing credits roll. It's the strangest thing... but at least it's highly entertaining, if deceptively brief.

>Then there's that opposite effect, where you're goin' down that familiar stretch doing the posted speed limit, yet it seems to you like you're moving a fair sight slower than you actually are. Yep, you guessed it: this is the feeling I experience when I watch "The Godfather Part III". I may as well sit through the entire "Star Wars" prequel trilogy and Kevin Costner's "Waterworld" and "The Postman" in one shot for the amazing amount of time I perceive I'm wasting watching GF-III. Which is something I strongly suggest... no, I ABSOLUTELY DEMAND that you never, ever do, by the way. Um, the prequel trilogy & Costner part that is. I only strongly suggest you steer clear of "The Godfather Part III". At worst, you should probably view one time, just to get it outta your system. Just don't look to me to pay for the post-movie-viewing-depression therapy sessions you're gonna need. I can barely afford my own sessions as it is...

Dark spots!
What is there to say about the Godfather Series. They are a part of the American Culture as Apple Pie. Although, one thing I am dissapointed in. During certain scenes within the movies, in which the Don would speak in his darkened decision making office. You can barely make out the Don much less the setting. One would think with all the technology available today, those parts of the movie would be alot clearer. Maybe they will release a "Newly improved Godfather Series ".
