It's All Good Except For Ice Cube I am a big fan of KoRn and Limp Bizkit, so I thought this cd would be good. First of all I didn't hear of Incubus until this cd. Their song "New Skin" is incredible, and its one of the best on the album. Then it goes to Orgy where they have 3 pretty good songs including the hit-single "Blue Monday". After that Limp Bizkit comes on with 3 awesome songs including one of the best songs of 1998 "Faith" and House Of Pain's song "Jump Around". Then here's the part I skip, Ice Cube I feel shouldn't belong on there. Next, you have 1 song by Rammstein, their single "Du Hast". Last KoRn comes on with their first song being a mix of songs including "Shoots and Ladders",then the 2nd is "Freak On A Leash",3rd is a mix of "Twist" and "Chi", and the last one to end the album is "Got The Life". This is a really good cd for anybody who went to the Family Values Tour or just likes any of these bands, it is a great mix of some of the best bands out there today.
This Is The One
Some of you may have seen my review for Family Values 99, more sop how I didn't like it too much. Therefore I feel justified in reviewing FV 98. This Cd is the better of the two so far by a long shot. It is because of this CD that I went and bought all the Incubus, Orgy and Rammstein CD's. Every track on this CD is worthy of its place, although I am a little disappointed that both Rammstein and Incubus only have one track each. Both of these bands are extremely talented and deserve more praise and promotion. Orgy has a great sound on this CD, I would almost say that they sound better here then on their own album. I love the way that the drums really come through on their set here. Korn and Limp Bizkit put in good performances, and although not being a huge LB fan, I really love Faith and Counterfeit. I don't like Ice Cube at all, but they are present on this CD so Rap fans should be happy. I would also recommend that you pick up the FV 98 video, it too is excellent. A word of warning - the video DOES contain the Rammstein Buck Dich performance complete with fake phallus. In all, if you are looking for a CD that has great metal, industrial and rap then FV 98 will suit your taste. Definately better then FV 99.
