DVD features
Yes, the unrated edition of The Dukes of Hazzard has nudity... but no, it's not of Jessica Simpson, but topless sorority girls. There are also two sets--"PG-13" and "unrated"--of deleted scenes and bloopers. The four minutes of unrated deleted scenes (supplementing the 25 minutes of "PG-13" deleted scenes) include more sorority girls and a menage à trois for Johnny Knoxville . The five minutes of unrated bloopers (the same amount as the "PG-13" bloopers) feature a few more girls but mostly bad language. Featurettes discuss the Daisy Duke short shorts (and show how you can make your own), car stunts, and the making of the movie (narrated by a cast member of the original TV series). --David Horiuchi

Customer Reviews of The Dukes of Hazzard (Unrated Widescreen Edition)
the duke boy's have come back again When i saw this movie it awsome this is a very funny movie the parts i like the best are when daisy [jessica simpson] kicked that guy over and put her foot on the guy's neck and said " how about the special sir" that was very funny and the other part is when bo [sean william scott] pulled luke [johnny knoxville] on boss hogs [burt reynolds] safe that was the bestest part on this movie you should get this movie now.
What a disappointment this was!!!
It's not like I expected very much from this movie but what a dud! I watched the TV show as a kid, every now and then. Liked it I guess. This movie could have been good if they went all out with raunchy humor or something. If it was like the Wedding Crashers or something. If they made it all about T & A, then maybe it would have at least made some people smile. I'm all for change but Willie Nelson as Uncle Jesse? UGH! What the hell were you thinking? Jessica Simpson did an Okay job but she was hardly in the movie? Linda Carter was great but again, hardly in the movie. The opening scene could have been so good if they just went a little bit raunchier with it but because it wasn't, that right there set the tone for the movie. And what about Burt Reynolds? The original Boss Hog was way better than what he did. Did the director of this movie do this deliberately? Did he not like the show and that's why he made it this awful? Such stale, dull characters with a quasi sense of raunch humor. If the director didn't want them to be the same as they were on the TV show, then he should have went over the top with them, not dull and dumb. ugh! What a shame and I didn't even care for the TV show all that much. And please, those Daisy Duke shorts were lame compared to the real Daisy Duke shorts! And why on earth did they not play the infamous 1993 hit song "Daisy Dukes" with a zoomed in close up right on Jessica Simpson's hiney when showing her for the first time in the movie??? That would have been so cool! Boy, they really botched this one up all the way around. It's not often I want to walk out of a theater but I almost did with this one. Poor Poor Poor job at a making a movie from a TV show. Two thumbs down!
One of the year's (and maybe decade's) Worst Films
Never before in my life have I wished that someone would shoot me until I watched this movie. There are way too many different plot lines to this movie, none more entertaining than the other. One of the questions I found myself asking was: Why would someone take a terrible television show and make it into a movie? Every actor in this movie gives the worst performance in his or her career, especially Jessica Simpson, whose Daisy Duke is the most over the top, albeit gorgeous, characters I have ever seen. The movie is filled with scenes of the Duke boys screaming at the top of their lungs, once again proving that neither of them could have possibly made it into middle school. The scene where they impersonate Japanese people is just plain laughable (not in a good way) and you have to wonder how the kid who believed them ever got into college. Willie Nelson's Uncle Jesse is one of the most annoying characters in modern cinema, telling terrible joke after terrible joke. Burt Reynolds was born to play the part of Boss Hogg and he drags the rest of the movie down to the lowest bowels of bad cinema. Please do not waste your time, effort, or money watching this movie. All of the copies of this movie should be burned in a bonfire. This is the absolute worst movie of the year, and definitely in the top five worst movies of the last ten years. Shame on all of the people that had a hand in this movie.
