Customer Reviews of Tekken 4
Might As Well Be Tekken... The Tekken series has provided, for gaming fighters, the greatest 3-D fighter that I have played to date. The game features many (but not all) of the old characters, and several new, making for new story lines that interact with the old (example; Nina is assigned to hunt down Steve, and Lei is assigned to stop her). The game has it's highlights, such as the finest graphics engine the Tekken games can offer, the revamped Tekken Force Mode (which, I might add, has been difficult for me to beat), the new story lines, and the overall best fighting engine. The fights are very close to realistic (as a real fighter, I should know...) with nothing too incredibly out of the ordinary (exeption of Yoshimitsu). It has all the fighting action one could ask for from any fighting game. But Tekken 4 does have it's low areas. The soundtrack (although good) just did not fit the "I'm gonna crush yer head in" (that's Craig Marduk talking) mood. Several favorite characters of mine were absent from this new installment. The Tekken Force Mode allows some freedom, but not like in games such as The Bouncer. And the tag-mode was absent from this game, a feature that I have enjoyed in games such as Tekken Tag Tournement and Dead or Alive 2: Hardcore. Not to nention Training mode is a pain in the neck. But, if you want all of the fighting action you can get your hands on, simply grab for Tekken 4.
