Customer Reviews of TV Guide
tv guide The tv guide is great. The only problem I have right now is receiving duplicate copies. I was told that if I am receiving the tv guide my new issues would not start until my current subscription ends. I have called amazon about this and I continue to receive the new subscription along with my current one. So, so far I have lost 3 weeks of my new subcription. <

A Worthless Rag
Hard as it may be to believe, "TV Guide" was once a useful, informative, somewhat entertaining periodical; of course, that was back when it was actually devoted to television. Sadly, that era is gone, and we now have the modern-day "TV Guide", which is a sad parody of the magazine it once was. The "new" version contains incomplete TV listings, which are buried within pages of useless fluff, hype for the latest theatrical releases from Hollywood, and other assorted junk. In fact, the magazine shares many similarities with the "TV Guide Channel", which offers paltry listings amidst annoying babble from a group of loud, boring, silly "reporters", none of whom has anything interesting or relevant to say. Sadly, no one at "TV Guide" seems to care anymore, and that's a tragedy. The best thing to do with this magazine is to simply avoid it; it's pure garbage from cover to cover.
What part of "TV GUIDE" did they not understand?
I have subscribed to TV GUIDE for many, many years. However, the new format is alost completely useless. Want to know what is on during the day? Good luck! Want to find something to watch during a sleepless night? Good luck! They have the nerve to call themselves TV GUIDE, but they are less a guide to TV as the changes continue. Now, I find that from last week's issue to this week's my subscription got shortened by 4 weeks. Apparently, some genius has decided to call some of the issues "double issues" so they can rip off the subscribers. What a deal!!!!

>Stay as far away from a TV GUIDE subscription as you can. You can get more info from their website (for free.) It used to be that the Sunday paper weekly TV listings were oh so inferior to the TV GUIDE. That cannot be said anymore. If you want an entertainment magazine, pick one of the better ones. If you want a TV magazine, keep looking. TV GUIDE can't decide what it wants to be and, therefore, it doesn't do anything well anymore.
