Symphonic Composition - a very useful DVD course This is a great DVD with lots of practical examples and techniques that you can use in your art practice. It's a lengthy production based on a course that I attended. I purchased the DVD as soon as it was published. I use the information all the time in my compositions. There's really several years of study here but you can use a few key principles or rules of thumb to increase the aesthetic appeal and harmony of your work right away. The information provided is very difficult to find anywhere else and Mr. Britton has researched and brought together a lot of information form a wide variety of sources. I give the DVD 5 stars for content and 4 stars for production as there was only one camera used to film the workshop sections and they occassionally had to redo some of the audio as voice overs. Doesn't really detract from the course so I'd highly recommend it to artists and those interested in understanding the compositions of the master painters
