The plot, as if it matters: Travolta's a slick, self-appointed antiterrorist who recruits a top-flight computer hacker (Hugh Jackman) to transfer a $9.5 billion government slush fund into a cluster of secret accounts. Berry's the curvaceous bait who lures Jackman into the scheme; Don Cheadle's an FBI agent hot on their tails; and an obligatory subplot turns Jackman's daughter (Camryn Grimes) into an innocent bargaining chip. By the time a hostage transport bus is airlifted in the film's not-so-thrilling climax, Swordfish will hold your passive attention or put you to sleep--it all depends on your tolerance for Sena's brand of derivative bloodlust. It's pornography of a sort, and efficiently mechanical, but you can bet good money that Berry and her costars didn't cash their paychecks proudly. --Jeff Shannon

IS THIS EVEN WORTH REVIEWING, OH YEAH, HALLE BERR'Y IN IT There is 1 reason for you. This is a movie about a guy who is a really crazy big-time bank robber who like to go out and hae gunfights in his snazzy car. <

>Nothing works for me in this movie except hugh jackmon, and halle berry of course. His character does have a lot of good backround elements about him. But the way they use him and his family was just stupid, just like evrything else in the movie, except for halle berry. I wish that this movie had it's finer points, well I guess there are 2 pretty good scenes with halle berry, one more pleasing than the other. But the stunts were the stupidest thing. You can tell what this movie was supposed to be about, halle berry, but besides that this is just a movie where a bus is being helicoptered all over the city. I had heard about this when it came out and it didn't intrigue me at all, but then my friend told me that this is halle's berry best movie and I had to go see it. So he wasn't lying, it is my favorite role that she has ever played, but the stunts and whole bank robbery thing was just retarded. <

>I can't remember if I brought up halle berry in this review yet so I would like to take the oppurtunity right now to say I love you halle berry and just give me a call sometime.
Never a Boring Moment
This is a very action packed movie. Halle Berry, Hugh Jackman and John Travolta are great, as always. Strong violence and sexual content.
"You know what the problem with America is..."
I will admitt that this movie does serve up quite a bit of confusion, I mean it took me a few watch throughs to understand some of it, but once I got it I knew I really liked it. The direction of this film is eye catching and the acting is great, Travolta just blowing you mind as a top-notch baddie. Travolta plays Gabrial, a self proclaimed anti-terrorist who hires Hackman (Stan) to hack into some mainframe and steal 9.5 billion dollars that the government isn't using in order to fund his war against terrorism. Berry is the bait sent to lure the hacker. The FBI though are hot on their tails, the team headed by Don Cheadle who is such a scene stealing actor that he ends up being the most memerable charactor. The conclution is great, the graphics are insane and Travolta just commands your attention. He's nuts. I'd recommend the film because it was different and unlike anything you'll ever see.
