great addition to the room Its a small detail but the light plate looks really cute in my son's whirligig room. I had no problems installing the plate. The screws worked just fine and the plate seems to be well made.
Pretty but Shape is abnormal
I purchaced almost the entire whirlagig set and have only had a problem with the switchplate. The back of the switchplate is raised which makes it difficult to fit properly on a light switch that is flush agaist the wall. This seems to be designed for a slightly raised lightswitch. The actual light switch is buried deep within the switchplate because our fixture is flat against the wall and the switch plate is raised about 1/4" It is very cute looking but was a major pain to install because it doesn't fit right. We had to buy longer screws just to hold it into the wall. My advise is to check it out in the store first and look at your fixture. If it is in the wall or flat against it I would pass, if it is slightly raised it should fit fine.
Absolutely Adorable!
My husband is in the military therefore we live in base housing. We are allowed to paint our walls but all in all it would be a big hassle so I began looking for things in the whirligig theme to set the room off from that "military" look. This switch plate is just perfect! It was easy to install.
