Gotta have one!
We eat out more than we eat in! This chair goes with us and we prefer it over restaurant high chairs for cleanliness (yes, that's you job ,mom- clean out the peas when your kid hides them!) ease of use, safety, light weight and comfort! Our daughter is VERY active, strong and tall and loves this seat! She has sat in it 3-4x's a week since she was 5 months and is now almost 1 year. She has her own CLEAN tray- for food or for latched on toys/books... is securely attached to a seat (though can't be used securely in a booth) and is used to her surroundings since she's always in that chair- not some wooden or metal (loud) seat. Also, we use it at the beach and on trips (when we drive, not fly) so she has her place to sit and eat. It washes easily- I forgot it was dishwasher safe until reading the other reviews- and we haven't used it w/o the tray... no need. Most tables would actually fit OVER the tray if you wanted to push the chair in. Glass topped tables are LOUD when a baby hits a toy on it... plastic is much quieter and safer! The straps are secure (I'm a safety nut and this 3 pt strap is just fine. Normally I would say get a 5 pt harnes but this is no problem, unless you don't strap in your child- in that case, YOU need a strap! That doesn't make sense! Do they not strap their child in their car seat either???)
I'd buy it again if something happened to it and for a shower gift with the "floppy seat" in an instant! BUY IT!

It's Ok, but could use a bit of improvement.
Despite some problems, this chair has come in handy. I've used it in restaurants, visiting friends/relatives homes, and it's also good for hotel rooms. (I suppose some would find it great for their own homes as well, to save on space instead of a real highchair), but it's not a chair that you can comfortably turn your back on and feel that your child is safe. So I only use this when we're out and sitting right there with my son.
I like that it's light weight, the straps secure well, and it has the swing out tray feature. What I'm not too crazy about is how it keeps falling apart. So far it hasn't happened with my son in it, but I'm waiting. (unless you count the times my 10 month old has taken the tray off by himself while in it. Hmmmmmmm........) Anyways, every time we pick it up to carry it somewhere, some part of it is falling off. The seat can be adjusted to 3 heights, but that barely makes a difference so we just keep it on the lowest. I really wish they would have made it more sturdy. So my suggestion is to maybe try it, but save your receipt.

Excellent back up to high chair
My husband & I received this as a shower gift and love it. As soon as our daughter could sit upright, we put her in it. The seatbelt with strap between the legs keeps her snug, the tray table has two locking positions keeping it in place, easy to clean and its very light to take outside the home. We were recently relocated out of state to temporary, furnished housing and didnt want to bring her regular highchair for the transition period. This chair sits right on top of our dining table. We give her a small toy to play with while we make her meal and feed her at the table (or on top of the coffee table). It has been nothing short of FABULOUS. I recommend this chair to everyone as a portable highchair!
