Customer Reviews of Stuart Little 2
Stuart Meets His Sweetheart, and She Is a Bird! ...This time you get a new character Margalo (by Melanie Griffith, her first job to provide only voice in film), but she is not a mouse, nor a hamster. No, she is a lovely yellow bird falling onto Stuart's car coming from the school, and you know what happens to them next. Just as a boy meets a girl, a mouse meets a bird, and they fall in love with each other, so what's wrong with that?
Most of the cast of the original "Stuart Little" appear again, and you see Hugh Laurie and Geena Davies as Mr. and Mrs. Little, with Jonathan Lipnicki as George Little. But you will be more impressed with the white cat Snowbell (with joyful vocal talent of Nethan Lane), who gets a bigger role here. You also get a brief cameo of Monty (Steve Zahn), and as a new villain Falcon appears (voiced by James Woods), who flys and acts just the way his species' name implies.
But what is most impressive in the sequel is the perfect CGI images that creates the seamless movements of Stuart. The action of the animals is upgraded more than you imagine, and that alone will keep the eyes of adult audience wide open. The best things of the film are probably the flight scenes over the Park of New York City, which is so real, but at the same time doesn't lose the magic and colorful touch of the film that makes the dream-like quality of "Stuart Little"'s world.
To be frank with you, the story of "SL2," which is less than 80 minutes (so short!), is too simple. In short, it's about Stuart who meets a girl, which happens to be a bird falling from the sky. I don't know if you buy this madcap idea of a mouse falling in love with a bird; or Stuart Little playing soccer with the kids, and the parents worrying about his being kicked, instead of his kicking a ball. The script is just a chain of incredible situations, but first of all, you should have noticed that to adapt a mouse as a family member is not a common idea, so let's forget all about it, Okay?
Human actors are given weaker parts, compared with the funny animal characters, but it must be so. Because the film belongs to those lively animals, whose vivid and graphic figures can easily compensate for the lack of a coherent story. Recommended as a family picture, but don't get serious for a minute.
ARE YOU TWO STILL FRIENDS OR CAN I EAT HIM
I loved Stuart Little 2-it was so cute and funny!
Stuart Little 2 is about Stuart and how he loves being part of the Little family-he goes to school-but when he is driving home one day a bird falls in his car-and her name is Margalo-Stuart and this bird become fast friends-but theres a side to Margalo that Stuart doesnt see-she is a con artist working for an evil falcon who will make sure that he gets Mrs.Littles ring-and he will stop at nothing to get it!
One of my favorite characters was Monty-probably because Steve Zhan was his voice!
The voice talents were:
Stuart Little-Micheal J.Fox
Snowbell-Nathan Lane
Monty-Steve Zahn
Falcon-James Woods
Margalo-Meline Griffth
I also have the soundtrack-and its great-especially that one song by Celine Dion called Im Alive!
I would reccomend this movie to anyone who loves animals and wants to watch something cute!
I thought that it was even better and cuter then the first one!
A fun and good-natured movie for all ages.
This sequel to the 1999 original Stuart Little movie is every bit as good as that one and in some ways I would go as to say that it's even better.
The legendary mouse Stuart Little goes on an another adventure when after returning to a normal life with his human family, The Littles, Stuart finds himself developing a crush on a canary but she is in danger of being imprisoned by a tyrant falcon who hates mice and the female bird has never gotten a chance to migrate south with the rest of her species. She and Stuart's worlds collide one day and they've sparked a romance but after she is kidnapped by the evil falcon, Stuart Little and his former feline rival and now somewhat friend Snowbell work together and set out to find and rescue her from the evil falcon before it's too late.
This film is yet another good sequel in moviemaking that dodges the infamous sequel-slump and brilliantly continues the story from the first Stuart Little movie. The mix of live and computer animation is really excellent and even the canary and Stuart Little look almost realistic and perfectly blend in with the live footage. It may not be anything phenomenal but it is pure entertainment for those who just want plain fun without anything graphic nor beyond PG rated.
It's not necessarily an essential movie but this is certainly worth renting or at least checking out.
