Customer Reviews of Stravinsky: Violin Concerto/Ebony Concerto/The Flood
Excellent Upon first listen to this incredibly rare recording (I've been looking for it for two years, now) I was very pleased. I found the Violin Concerto surprisingly and encompassingly warm, where others have been somewhat sterile (I'm thinking Perlman/Ozawa/BSO out on DG coupled with the excellent Berg Violin Concerto). The Ebony Concerto is full bodied (though I still prefer Benny Goodman's on Columbia). The Tango is a nice rarity. The Flood is a very interesting Oratorio, in Stravinsky's late style. Overall, I'm very pleased. It was worth the wait. Too bad it's no longer available.
