This is the Star Wars game I've been waiting for. The ability to control a Jedi Knight, use the Force to push, pull, and everything else, is, seriously, a dream come true.

The GRAPHICS are awesome. There is great detail and fluid animation. The locations are great. I love being on Coruscant, Naboo, Trade Federation ships. The stage design is really good. They are varied and pretty big.

The SOUNDTRACK is excellent. The music sounds just like it did in the movie, using mostly TPM music but also some of the Luke Trilogy. The sound effects are pretty close to being dead-on. If you have Dolby Digital you're in for a real treat.

The CONTROL is solid. There's a little breaking-in period with the control since you have double-function when the Force is activated, but you'll catch on soon enough. There's a lot of moves at your disposal and the controller does a good job making it easy to pull off. I found the default control set up to be good.

The DIFFICULTY is good. Not easy to pull off, since many games are either way too hard or way too easy. Since this game has no difficulty setting, it was crucial that it be a right balance. I'm glad to say that it is good. OBI-WAN is not a walk in the park, but it's not impossible either.

The ACTION is awesome! If you think running around with a lightsaber and hacking up Battle Droids (and other enemies) is cool, then you really have no excuse not to get this. There are even lightsaber duels with other Jedi Knights -- and even Maul.

I can't say enough good things about this game. I am thrilled with it. An absolute must-buy.

Now,I've seen loads of bad reveiws for this game.Star Wars:Obi-Wan is a great game that needs to be given a chance.

The earlyer levels in the game takes place a few weeks before the events of Star Wars:Episode 1.Those missions take place on the cloudy planet of Bespin,to the seedy underworld of Corusaunt.

I think this is an absolutely great game,except for the graphics and voice acting.
True,the graphics are TRUELY horrible.If you stand close to a wall,you can see all of the pixels...As this is an Xbox game,the graphics could have been a million times better.

Also,the voice acting is cheesy.Obi-Wan sounds nothing like Ewan McGregor...

PROS:
1.Non-stop action.Every single second is full of chopping droids in half,ect.
2.Lots of mission,ranging from a fight to the death Jedi arena,to rescuing Queen Amidala from the Tusken raiders.
3.You use a lightsaber,so you can chop up stuff and deflect laser shots.
4.Lots of combos.You can throw your lightsaber like a boomerang,or you can do backflips,ect.

CONS:
1.HIDEOUS GRAPHICS!
2.Cheesy voice acting
3.Enemie AI is stupid

As you progress through the game,the levels get tougher and tougher,ending with the battle with Darth Maul.

Also,a note to parents:Since this game involves lightsabers,you must think it involves chopping peoples heads,arms,and legs off.Well,you can't do that!Whenever you defeat an alien,they just go,"Ahh!" and fall backwards,and dissapear.

Since this game is now a Xbox Platinum Hit,it costs less than twenty dollars!

Overall,Star Wars:Obi-Wan is an awesome game that every Xbox owner should have.

Fun game, marred by disappointingly easy last battle
I am going to reveal the ending, so do not read ahead if you still want to play this game.
Many others have already posted their opinions here, so I will not go through the whole game in detail.
But as many others have said, the voice-acting for the Obi-Wan character is ridiculously, unintentionally humorous -- the actor sounds like a guy with a head cold trying to imitate Ewan McGregor doing Obi-Wan, exaggerating the distinctive traits McGregor's Scottish accent -- so even lilts in his voice are thrown into hyperdrive. (as exaggerated as the honker the graphics dept. gave to Qui-Gon Jinn -- yes, the bridge on Liam Neeson's nose may be somewhat big, but since when did he have Karl Malden's nose?)
The game is unfortunately lacking in the graphics department -- sometimes you can't see features on faces.
But onto the ending. The game is fun, with a handful of challenging levels -- mostly due to the swarms of droids that come your way and droids taking stance behind high-powered laser cannons.
But it's marred by a disappointingly quick and all-too-easy ending. The moment arrives -- you finally meet Darth Maul. Just like in the movie, you stand behind the laser wall and watch as Qui-Gon is struck down by Maul.
And finally the wall opens, you hold your breath, ready for a tough battle -- one that you may have to play repeatedly until you put together the right string of moves and blocks to take him out before your health runs out. But it's not to be.
Darth Maul is ridiculously easy to defeat. I beat him on my first try and in less than a minute. And you have to fight him twice -- as once you take him down the first time, he gets a new, full meter of health. So in less than a minute, I drew down two full health meters. I felt cheated, to say the least.
I remember fighting against Mace Windu to have to reach the next level, and I had to go toe to toe against him some 20 to 30 times before I finally beat him. I was expecting at least a battle on that level of difficulty, but it ended up being the easiest level of the whole game. All I had to do was slash at him and use some force saber twirls and Maul was done.
How in the world could the game's makers create such a lackluster, lifeless, no-threat ending battle? I was left extremely wanting, and if it were a movie, I would have angrily asked for my money back. I cannot say enough how disappointing the ending was. Even more now, the Darth Maul character cries out for a game of his own. One can only wish -- for this Maul must have been a clone or imposter to go down with nary a fight.
