Customer Reviews of South Park - Christmas in South Park
Buy with great caution Before adding this to your cart or wish list, I have to warn you that some may be very unsatisfied with this collection of Christmas episode. In other words, I rented this, and I didn't like it too much.
What I'm saying is, Christmas specials were never a strong suit for South Park. "Mr. Hankey's Christmas Classics" is probably the crappiest South Park episode ever to air. Mr. Hankey the Christmas Poo hosts a Christmas show with parody songs and scenes with the regular South Park Characters. That's about it. Hankey is annoying as always, the song and musical scenes suck, the episode is pointless, and if not for the other episode, "Merry Christmas Charlie Manson", this collection would be nothing more than a worthless piece of crap more so than Hankey himself.
Fortunately though, this does include "Merry Christmas Charlie Manson" which will satisfy, if not amuse South Park viewers whether or not you've seen it.
Possibly the best episode on the tape is "Chin Pokomon" which makes fun of the Pokemon franchise and Japan itself
This DVD doesn't suck, but you know which episode to avoid and which one knocked 2 stars of the rating. Buy at your own risk!
the world worst show that ever was
you may think its funny but i think it bad, Kenny at the end always dies. Cartmen is always a sour and hatful, there are drugs in the cartoon, strong words, and fights cause of their drunkness. This Trey guy is blood thristy. better not buy, you will want to throw it in the trash.
A lounge act for the ages...
First off I think that the first South Park Christmas special (the first episode where Kenny didn't die) is the funniest Christmas special in TV history. But the first episode "Mr. Hankey's Christmas Classics" is very close. This alone is 5 stars.
From the very well done "Dreidel, dreidel, dreidel"(eventual 5 part harmony) to Hitler singing a familiar Christmas carol in German while in Hell, to the very politically incorrect song by Mr.Garrison "Merry F**kng Christmas", there are plenty of laughs.
But the absolute highlight is a lounge act featuring Jesus and Santa doing Christmas songs (in the first person). The sight of Jesus taling his halo and swirling it around his finger and flipping it back over his head is woth theprice on admission.
The second episode "merry Christmas Charlie Manson" is not as good but definitley has its moments
