Great Monitor!!! I got this as a baby shower gift. The only plug point that was free for this was near a window(of all places) we tried it and even that works fine. This monitor is so good, I can even hear the clock, thats on the other side of the room, ticking.
I would recommend this to anyone in a heartbeat.
Does the job
Baby monitors use a range that gets a lot of interference and therefore you can get a lot of static. I've used this system at four different places as we have been visiting my family. At every place it worked well but at every place it took a fair amount of adjusting to get a clear signal. This was especially true at my brother's who lives in an apartment complex; all those wireless phones and TVs really can cause problems. But with a little experimentation we got it working. It's a great product for the price.
Terrible static!
I returned this item after trying it for one night - all I could hear was STATIC!! It was just awful!! I too trusted the manufacturer - had another FP monitor prior that I loved, but the model was discontinued. This one is just NOT worth it!
